PlayStations numbers must be massive internally to turn around and give the game its very own unique showcase on the 17th only a few days after they put out that insane trailer. I know I have already preordered.

It’s also number 1 on steam.

I have the worlds largest supply of copium shoved into my chest for a demo announcement during it.

Also only a 60$ game if you get the standard version. This will definitely be one of the handful of GOTY contenders

I think there is over reaction but I also think there are concerns I and many others have that are completely and totally legitimate, and imo would be foolish to simply just hand wave them as nonsense.

I would like to reiterate something; I would have so much less of a problem and many concerns about this if two things were in place.

1. Actual laws fit for purpose in a digital age about ownership and how people buy and sell things

2. If Sony even had the infrastructure to do what they ultimately aim to do. PSN is known almost memetically for being insecure and constantly going down. If they intend to use some fricked up DRM that needs to however often ping PSN to let you play they should at least invest in a functioning online platform

The gameplay in 2 is unquestionably pretty much improved in all areas over 1, which they were building off work they already laid foundation for it in its “sequel” miles morales


Literally everything else about that game is pretty trash imo though. Yes I 100% mean the extremely off putting non stop politics, but it is a lot more. They’re trying to do way way too much in a single game, similar to marvel films sometime.

It should’ve just been a game about Kraven as the main baddy with minor ones too or it should’ve just been a game about the symbiote and venom and how it is changing Peter with again, minor villains as well.

Then they really want miles to have at least 50% screen time, I would get my life this would a declaration from on top due to DEI, so you’re telling an incredibly packed story already that truly most of the times treads on making little sense when you think about it for a bit, with a narrative framing device that’s incredibly difficult for even the best writers to pull off and that’s using deuteragonist

They just cut out finished content for the game and are selling it back to you.

It’s one of the scumiest practices if not the single most scum move these companies do.

Rockstar isn’t the first to do this though not even close, it just sets a bad tone since so many eyeballs are and will be on the game

Steam isn’t a totally clean company they have done shady things rarely in their long history but compared to basically every other company in anything tech adjacent they’re gaming Jesus.

Steam is a prime example of why people who say all monopolies are bad are thinking at a elementary level

Monopolies rigged to be that way via government are bad. Free market choice monopolies are just the best options, with no one willing to seriously compete.

It also helps they’re a private company. I’ve said for years now video game studios being public traded companies is not good and never really can be.

It’s not a shock the few rare private owned gaming studies like Larian and Valave are top tier

Yeah if you read above u laid out how this was supposed to release like over 1.6 years ago but after black myth the studio got an insanely large cash infusion and total rope to expand and improve the game even more than they originally could.

You can just tell this game is so fricking awesome from its trailer. And to date they have shown nothing but side content.


Today they’re doing a 15-20 minute showcase of it with and 11 minute look at the game seeing main story content for this first time.

The time of the showcase is at the end of the clip in the OP. It seems pretty likely a demo build is coming to the public at some time. Tonight would make sense

First patch just went live

People seem to be pleased with it and it addressing a bunch of issues people had with the game. If you had things that bothered you about it check the patch notes they could likely be fixed.

Biggest thing I notice immediately is the camera is way better
