We’ve been here over 2.5 hours, they stop for half hour if they hear thunder. My shite goes on the ground in the future.
If the government runs something, it’s screwed up. No Nissan Altimas here, they smarter.

Lesson learned, toss it in the can or pour it on the ground like a redneck next time.

There should be a convenient place to do this year round. No wonder we are such a shithole.

There are lots of dumbasses in the world. Then there are special ones who admit to spending 2.5 hours at a hazardous waste disposal day. Lmao

I can take hazardous waste to the local landfill any time it’s open. I didn’t know it could be a task elsewhere. Sounds miserable.

I’ve been on the Northshore and they make you schedule a time. It took all of 15 minutes.

They did turn people away who just showed up.

This is against the law.

Under no circumstances in Louisiana or any state are you allowed to take rcra-hazardous waste to a local landfill

The one in EBR is at LSU and the line goes from Patrick Taylor Hall (CEBA) all the way to the Vet School. What a waste of a Saturday. I can't understand why the parish doesn't have a full-time hazmat/hazwaste collection site.

In general I agree.

I don’t generate much household hazardous waste anymore so it’s not a big deal for me.

I’ve got dumpster privileges at several friends’/relatives’ commercial properties too for this nonsense.

In the meantime, if you are looking for a place to bring your hazardous waste so it gets to hang out with other hazardous human waste, the local EPA office is:

U.S. EPA CID
CitiPlace Center III
6100 Corporate Blvd., Suite 350
Baton Rouge, LA 70808

Just leave it at the front door.

I just double checked the website. Household hazardous waste can be brought to the landfill whenever. That said, when I drop off, it’s at a spot that seems to have several containers sitting there.
