First time she performed in four years. Given all she’s gone through that’s amazing.

Also pretty impressive given what she has going on physically.

Weird how much France had to outsource the talent for today

France colonized a lot of the world. I think the point is to show how much France has influenced the world

The last 15ish minutes with the tower light show, balloon cauldron, and a French Canadian literally saved this abortion of a ceremony.

Good lord Clarkson is atrocious

How would we feel if an Australian singer sang our big ceremonial song in 2028, just because we both speak English.
Depends. Is said singer black or gay?

She crushed the song. It was cool to see Nadal, Carl Lewis, and Serena have the flame for a bit. I don’t get the big deal.

I'm pretty sure I read Celine performed at the Atlanta opening ceremonies as well. Just saying.
The live broadcast showed footage of it.

I mean, she's legit one of the greatest singers in modern history. I still have no clue why they couldn't get a French singer though.

The song was incredible though.

No, France has no popular icons anymore. France used to be the cultural capital of the world.

The UK has movie and music icons. As with the US of course.

France has nothing and that showed tonight.

If you look carefully you'll see there's a heavy cable attached (probably with a fuel hose inside it).

Because no one would have known who it was and they wouldn’t have brought it home like she did. She was the closer.

Now that's over....

After nothing in Tokyo, what a shitty thing to do to those fortunate enough to make it to both. This had to suck for them. THEIR ceremony was a boat ride and a light show. As much a it sucks to us, let's remember it's sucks for them even more.
