I have an offer to work out there. I don't know any details or how long I would be out there but at the moment it is not something I want to do but it could be a great opportunity and a good bit of money.

Im 24 single and no responsibilities, should I move for work or stay in the area for less money.

Don't live in Enid, OK....unless the money is good and you can leave in a couple years.

At this point, if you're wanting to work in the O&G field, I wouldn't be turning anything down

I don't know anything about Enid, Oklahoma, or the oil field for that matter. But I do know that being 24 and unattached only lasts for so long. If the money is good, take it and go get some life and work experience. A buddy of mine left Louisiana right after college and worked in Wyoming for 3 months oilfield, and he hated it. But he made some friends and some money and got to see a new part of the world. He was able to come home with that experience and get a job he wanted closer to home.

The relaxing sound of evening tornado warning sirens and quiet, picturesque strolls to the shelter of the hotel were certainly enjoyable in Oklahoma. I sure hated that project only lasted 4 months!

This...
I get calls and emails everyday from very experienced guys looking for work in the O&G because they were laid off.
If it's where you want to be, take it!!!

I interviewed in enid, and had the money been right I would have gone. Simple as that in my opinion.

You're an hour and a half from a pretty cool city in OKC, spend your weekends and down time there. You're a days drive from some really really cool places like Santa Fe, ABQ, Colorado Springs, Denver, Kansas City, Omaha, Austin, Houston, Dallas. Basically all of these are 8 hours or less. Even home (for me central Louisiana), was 9 hours. Keep in mind I have zero problem driving through the day or night, do it often and actually enjoy it.

I did all my research in case they were going to give me what I wanted.

Prepare for earthquakes, they happen almost daily in OK and they are centered around that area, fracking is being accused. Not much around there but as others have said take the money and experience.

That's about an hour from where we live. Been to Enid once. More than enough times for me.
