As of May 10, 2026, the 2026 LSU baseball team has set a program record by being swept in four 3-game SEC series in a single season!

Other records this season:

• The team was swept in three consecutive SEC weekends for the first time in program history

• They set a new school record with nine consecutive SEC losses

Will they break their own record next weekend?

We’ve been blessed with good baseball at LSU.

I long for even an average LSU team again.

Posters on here will sit there and tell you this season and the 2024 season, which was a Brown error away from a SR, should both be classified in the same file as "Down Year"

Certainly not the follow-up we hoped coming off a Championship season.

God almighty it’s been an awful year for LSU men’s sports across the board.

Hope to never experience it again.
With the 25’ football season being a mess then ending in last place for both our basketball and now our beloved baseball this is the definitely the worst I’ve experienced since 1986’ in watching all LSU sports.

Hard pill to swallow.

So. Doesn’t matter. When you lose your top 2 starters AND your best overall player, that happens.

LSU Baseball is mirroring Mississippi State's 2022 season floowing their 'ship season!

"Based on 2022 records, the Mississippi State baseball team was swept in 4 SEC three-game series during the 2022 regular season, finishing with a 10–20 conference"

First sweep of LSU baseball in their history. We have basically hit rock bottom.

Controversial opinion but Jay Johnson’s credibility took a big hit this season. How does a top tier coach let it get this bad?

I don’t think it’s a controversial opinion at all.
Everyone should have the ability to wonder how a Championship coach could literally miss on every player he had transferred in.

It’s a Legitimate question.

Odds are in favor of being at least 50% correct. lol

This season was just shite. Bad portals, unfortunate injuries, and shite luck.

CJJ knows he fricked up … and I have confidence that if he’s aware of the error he has the ability to correct it. I’m not expecting a championship next season, but I’m expecting a decent run at it.

If that doesn’t happen, then I’ll start to worry.

The problem is that the starters were nothing great.

If that doesn't happen, it's time to throw money at Tony V.

idk but Bianco went 6-24 after his national title season. DVH had a season where he went 7-23 in the SEC. Corbin just got swept by Missouri and Vandy sits at 11-18 in the SEC and 29-24 overall. John Savage at UCLA has had several really bad seasons at UCLA. Schlossnagle's last few years at TCU were pretty bad. Baseball is a weird sport sometimes.
