It is 95 percent mental with most of the relief pitchers. Good hitters just outlast them by not chasing pitches.

If Shores somehow gets out of this without allowing a run, it may be the longest half inning in baseball history without allowing a run.

Florida pitcher Peterson is pretty good. 13 Ks out of 18 outs against the best hitting team in conference.

She scores at a higher rate because she takes more shots, but she also gets more assists, steals, and blocks. Assist-to-turnover ratio is between that of Williams and Johnson. Based on her FT shooting, she should potentially shoot better from 3 than she has before.
Regardless of all these stats, she is a much better all-around player than any of the other guards on last season's roster.

In fall of 2024 it was about 67K full-time, 12K part-time.

I stand corrected. That is probably the Spring 2025 number. The CDS reported number was for the fall of 2024.

10 runs on 5 hits.
Hit batters are ridiculous and walks and errors.

All that inning did was ensure that this game goes the full 9 and ends around midnight.

also what’s up with this stat?

Hitting w/ runner on 3rd and < 2 outs: .580
SEC average: .599
LSU rank: 8th
It is calculated as RBI / Opportunities. In LSU's case they have had 50 opportunities with a runner on 3rd and < 2 out and have had 29 RBI.

LSU rank: 5th
ERA: 4.41
SEC average: 5.98
LSU rank: 2nd
Walks issued per game: 4.59
SEC average: 4.30
LSU rank: 11th (worst pitching stat - all other major pitching stats are in top 5)
Strikeouts thrown per game: 11.46
SEC average: 9.98
LSU rank: 1st
Summary:
Pitching/defense is tied with Arkansas for 2nd.
Hitting/offense is 8th mainly due to middle of the pack slugging and hitting with RISP.
Ideal improvement in team performance is to hit more often and with more power with RISP and to limit the walks pitching.
How that is done is what the coaches need to determine (who to put in hitting lineup and who to pitch).

Playing too deep. If you can get to fence it’s a HR. Too early to play deep for no doubles.

For Bama this is a pretty likable team. I think their coach has a lot to do with that. Seems like a good dude.
