If tweet fails to load, click here. ALL FEDERAL AGENCIES MUST BUY AMERICAN - NO EXCUSES! For decades, Washington politicians sent your Taxpayer Dollars overseas, and let Foreign Countries rip us off while our Workers, Factories, and Supply Chains were left behind. That betrayal is OVER. My Administration is strengthening MADE IN AMERICA Laws, ENDING Waiver Loopholes, and STOPPING the Federal Government from buying Foreign Products when Great American Products are available - And to the D.C. Bureaucrats: NO MORE handing out Waivers like candy! No more rubber- stamping exceptions for Foreign Products while American Workers get shafted. We are putting American Workers, American Factories, and American Supply Chains FIRST - Bigger, better, and stronger than ever before! I already signed EO 14392 to crack down on fake "MADE IN AMERICA" claims, and we are enforcing it HARD. No more games. No more fake
labels. No more ripping off the American Taxpayer.
AMERICA FIRST means BUY AMERICAN!
Great mandate.
Taxpayers dollars should stay home first and foremost.
Taxpayers are gonna be abused by the leeches and parasites in DC anyway, may as well benefit working Americans for once.

Buying the most expensive shite on the market. It simply cannot be done. Does that mean foreign subsidiaries based in the US are excluded as well?

Yes it can be done.
When the taxpayer is being ripped off and defrauded by foreign and domestic as it currently stands- keep the drunken sailor spending local.
You think these assholes are bargain shopping?
Nah.
The kickbacks from foreign deals negate any savings available.
Comical you think these corrupt roaches hunt for the best deals for the taxpayer.
My guess on foreign subsidiaries is that if the product is made here in the US by US workers, it’s on the table.

To me "Made in America" means you have a brick and mortar manufacturing facility within the boundaries of the USA. Not "Assembled in the USA" but manufactured here.

It can easily be done. Quit giving aid to foreigners and countries that hate us, end all of the fraud that is being exposed, and, if necessary, end social programs except for the truly infirmed. If you are healthy enough to frick and bear children, you can go to work. Breeding more parasites shouldn't be rewarded with more free stuff.

Gonna be some serious budget overruns and jobsites grinding to a halt as everyone in purchasing is bidding on a finite supply of domestic material

California spent 100 billion dollars on a ghost railroad, I'm sure there is some astronomical wiggle room with even a slight increase in efficiency lols

You’re going to need more than slight wiggle room. A quick look shows the price of steel up almost 35% over 6 months ago, that’s great for American steel producers but is going to cause major problems downstream as it continues

Yep, get ready for price increases.

Necessity is the mother of invention…good problem to have.

Not much of a “thinker”, are you?

This cant obviously be done.
cant even make a Made in American phone with all the parts sourced here. And that was before the cost of labor and manufacturing has increased post - COVID
How is anything more advanced than that going to made?
I grow fatigued of the meaningless tweets

close your eyes and imagine 100 billion dollars, then imagine 99.999999999999999999% of it wasn't stolen from you, then go shopping for some steel with your 100 billion dollars and let me know what kind of return on investment you noticed ;)

Do you really think this is a relevant statement in this case? You'd have to believe gov contracts only go to the lowest bidder every time.
In case you need to be told, that doesn't happen.

Yes, I've seen it first hand. Had an estimate for the widgets that we make last Thursday and I thought they were lying to me with the price increase for items we just quoted first of March. I went to several alternative raw material suppliers and sure enough...prices up 38-42% across the board.

Yep. Even most American made vehicles are full of foreign components.
Its not a bad policy but in practice cant be done.

Yes. America first when possible. You're coming around.

Fed gov buys American at like a 90% clip. Trump and his haters are overselling this. The latter makes this board much more humorous.
