I like the thought and effort but what about exemptions when our government agencies run business out of the country in the name of saving the environment. The EPA just ran the only polychloroprene (Neoprene) manufacturer in the North American and South American hemisphere located in Laplace, Louisiana. We had a 100% made in the USA with all raw materials sourced within the US. Now we have to source the rubber outside the US and now we losing business because our product doesn't meet the Build American Buy American Act. Our Government caused this and there should be exemptions under these circumstances. Now the reason this plant was run out of the US is because the environmental issues were racist and only targeted a certain segment of the population. Thanks Biden and the Biden EPA for running the only Neoprene manufacturer out of the whole Northern and Southern American hemisphere.

There will be. Its impossible to set a date and implement it 100%. It will be gradual with a lot of exceptions at first.

Without first hand knowledge I would guess they got a waiver to use import material because Plymouth or whoever they buy domestic from had roll cycles pushed out too far to meet the deadlines TVA was working on. The President talking about doing away with waivers in favor of strictly requiring domestic material is what I was referring to originally where jobs are just going to be halted waiting for mill production cycles to catch up.

I was driving home from Miami last Friday and a Hyundai pulled out right in front of me, like he had no awareness there may be other traffic on the planet. had to slam on my brakes and swerve to miss his dumb arse.
