Should this guy had his brain stem disconnected? Yes. Absolutely.

Did the mother have the right to shoot the guy? Yes. Absolutely.

The problem is this:
quote:

gunshot wound in the back of his head outside her Memphis home

That's the problem. And she probably ran her mouth when she should have been sitting on the front steps repeating the phrase "I was afraid for my life, I had to defend myself... I was afraid for my life, I had to defend myself". While asking for an attorney after every question.

You can talk yourself right in to being arrested after even an evidently justified shooting. Mouth shut.. lawyer on phone. Always.

She could have killed the rapist in a “defendable” way ie “I was in fear for my life”. Instead she executed him and will likely do time.

t does when he's in the house.

He got shot on the front porch in the back of the head after the mother had gotten him out of the house.

Again, I'm not losing sleep over this dude being dead, but the mother should've dropped him in the house in the front of his body.

Yeah. There’s “bad murder” and “maybe not so bad murder.” This clearly falls in the second category.

She needs to get ahold of her hoe daughter. Or send her little arse to military school. We also need to change the law about shooting someone in the back. So what if they’re running away, maybe they have something if yours or maybe they committed a crime and are trying to flee, either way this whole “can’t shoot them in the back” shite needs to stop. He wouldn’t have been shot if he hadn’t been laying up with a 13yr old at 1am in the first place.

The kid now has to think about dead guy and possible no freedom for Mom for the rest of her life all because they were “lonely” that one night.

Lonely is expensive.

I would think tis could be considered temporary insanity being that there is no way on earth a parent is going to calm down and be able to think and act rationally after making this kind of discovery in her daughter's bedroom.

I had a coworker about 15 years ago, stab and kill a boy who her daughter was hiding in her closet. Her daughter was 13, he was 16/17. Got charged with 2nd degree murder in Orleans Parish, but no one ever heard anything about what happened after her arrest. Her last name was Taplett.

Is a key to Memphis not appropriate for someone that shot a guy?

The key to the city of Memphis can be quite useful if you need it:

What are the chances his last words were “What are you gonna do, shoot me?”

Outside the house, not inside, when the shooting happened. And he was shot in the back of the head.

If he was outside she’s cooked.

You can’t chase the guy and shoot him in the back of the head especially if he’s not armed.

If she is found guilty, she'll be out sooner than later.

If you threaten my child, and i find you under the bed, i am also going to chase you until i shoot you. once you are dead, you are no longer a threat to my family (or anyone else's).

not guilty!

a 13 year old did this?!

You'd be surprised by some 13 y/o girls...

I was waiting at the boat launch for my uncle to get back from the grocery for a weekend at the camp. While waiting, this little local girl walks to the launch, sits down next to me, and decides to tell me all her stories, in a fleurtacious kind of way. I was in my 20's at the time.

I'm a complete stranger to this kid, but she didn't care, lucky for her I wasn't some serial rapist or something, it was weird as hell.

Uncle finally gets back, and we head to the camp, we talk to one of the locals and tell him what happened, come to find out, she's 13 and some of the local high school boys are doing this little girl... Sad...

Now, she needs to put the fear of God into her slutty little 13-year-old.

It might just be me but I would imagine killing the guy on the front lawn would be a big step in instilling that fear into the child
