This story is interesting in that I'm sure a lot of parents would want to do the exact same thing in her situation. I don't feel any sympathy for the dead predator. But seeing as how the mom shot him in the back of the head, outside of the home. She is definitely going down for murder.

A Tennessee mother shot and killed a man she found hiding under her 13-year-old daughter’s bed, according to cops — and now she’s facing first-degree murder charges.
Kendra Scott was arrested after police found a 20-year-old man dead from a gunshot wound in the back of his head outside her Memphis home just before 2 a.m. Thursday, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by The Post.

The 36-year-old mother told officers she came home and “saw a dude under my kids’ bed.”
“And I did what I had to do,” she said, per the affidavit.

The deadly incident unfolded after Scott’s teen daughter told cops she invited the man, Rodderius Morton, to the family’s home at around 1 a.m., according to the court document and Scott’s lawyer.

I would need to hear the whole thing, but I think I would be a not guilty juror.

Sounds about right for Memphis.

My daughter loves her jewelry.
And I appreciate her aim.

a 13 year old did this?!

She shot him while he was running away outside or execution style?
Either way, not a great fact pattern for mom. She's going to go down for this.

Yes, the entire state is just like Memphis. Don't move here.

First-degree murder? Nah.
Manslaughter, perhaps, but no jail time. Mom did what she had to do to protect her child.
Now, she needs to put the fear of God into her slutty little 13-year-old.

She shot him in the back of the head outside of the home. That's going to be murder.

13-year old won't have a mother now.
Not saying I'm upset this predator is dead, but if you're going to kill him and get away with it or get light charges, it has to be in a different scenario than this.

Guilty
Sentence her to receive a key to the city for saving taxpayers a boatload of money that would've been spent on prison costs for a pedo

On the surface, it sounds like an over-charge and she might get off.

Daughter? thirteen
Roddarious Frickin' twenty
Daughter stupid
Roddarious even more stupid with an unhealthy dose of lust
Mother: first degree murder charge just ripe for jury nullification

This mother and daughter duo would be great Florida whores.
13 year old daughter inviting a 20 year old guy over at 1am?
Mom comes home at 2am?
Don’t be a trash parent and you won’t have to deal with crap like this.

Let's not assume she wasn't working late. Shift work can be late at night.

No argument from me here. 13 year old doing this means failure in parenting.

Probably me either. She should probably request a jury trial and risk that over a plea deal. Considering Memphis demo, that might be a favorable jury pool.
