That video is complete bullshite created by AI, done by the local police department to make the 75 year old grandmother look like the aggressor. That's what her family is claiming.

She also called out the police department and their handling of the investigation, stating that her mom should still be alive....Tawnda believes otherwise. She has accused the police of editing the video using artificial intelligence to make it look like Grayson attacked first.
“They’re trying to cover it up,” she told the Daily Mail, claiming that investigators want to “blame my mom” instead of charging the Tim Horton workers.
Tawnda has also launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to cover her mother’s funeral and memorial expenses. So far, she has raised over $5,000 of the initial $12,000 goal.

The worst-case scenario is an uncontrolled explosion. “If you’ve ever seen videos of tank cars on a railroad track blowing up, and that fireball it puts out, and it blows half the tank car a half a mile down the train track, that’s the incident potential we are dealing with if this suffers a catastrophic failure,” Covey said.

What kind of blast are we talking here? If it were to explode.
Worse case, it blows the surrounding tanks as well. It might make sense to just let it leak out and avoid an explosion.

One, the tank fails and spills a total of about 6,000 to 7,000 gallons of very bad chemicals into the parking lot in that area. Or two, the tank goes into a thermal runaway and blows up.”

No contingency plan for this type if situation?
Doesn't look that way considering the guy in charge said they need outside the box ideas, but they aren't giving up.
quote:
“We are not giving up,” Covey said. “We are not accepting the fact that we just have to let this thing fail. We’re going to try to find a solution.”

Run!

Crews are now simultaneously preparing for three scenarios: the tank rupturing and spilling toxic chemicals, the tank exploding, or a slower “curing” process in which heavy water cooling could reduce pressure buildup enough to prevent a disastrous explosion.

Well the guy in charge agrees with you. After the comments from the guy in charge, I don't think this will end well.

re: Ole Miss football under NCAA investigation

CSC has launched a seperate investigation into Ole Miss NIL
Then they still have the Josiah Freeman alligations to deal with.

Ole Miss also being investigated by College Sports Commission, per report
In a separate development, The Athletic reported on May 22 that Ole Miss is the subject of an investigation by the College Sports Commission.
The CSC is an organization that was informed after the House settlement. Its purpose is to, in part, ensure that players are being compensated through NIL for specific work and not getting pay-to-play payments.

re: How bad was the 2008 recession in Louisiana?

Wasn't as bad as most of the country. '08 recession was caused by housing bust, which in southern LA the housing market was still recovering from Katrina damage.

With the right luck from the courts, LSU could certainly have a top-25 caliber roster if it is trotting out a 25 year old point guard in Madar, a 23 year old All-Conference wing in Luis, a veteran double-double threat in Dessert, a grizzled stretch 4 in Santos, a high-upside difference-maker in Niang to go along with a trio of portal additions in Kentucky transfer bruiser Mo Dioubate, Kansas State transfer sniper Abdi Bashir Jr. and Michigan State transfer combo guard Divine Ugochukwu.
quote:
The problem is that Luis did sign an NBA two-way contract (where a player splits time between the G-League and NBA teams). NCAA president Charlie Baker reiterated last December that the NCAA will not reinstate eligibility to anyone who has signed a two-way contract with a NBA team. The NCAA also doubled down on that standard last week as well, in a memo to teams.
Former Baylor big man James Nnaji was drafted No. 31 in the 2023 NBA Draft, but he was granted eligibility because of the loophole where he had never signed a NBA contract. Providence signed G League standout Dink Pate this spring, who intentionally passed on two-way contract offers to maintain his college eligibility. Texas A&M landed G-League sharpshooter Bryson Warren this spring, who also did not sign a two-way contract.

Been to both, didn't stay more than a night in each. In Baltimore stay in the inner harbor, the area around Camden Yards is nice. Fort McHenry is worth a visit.

Watch the video in the link, the 2nd place finisher knew right away, looks like he told him that he was DQ. He walks up to him says something and points the baton, he then he reacts.

Nyan Brown, who was running the anchor leg for Mallard Creek High School Mavericks, crossed the finish line first. However, he and his team were promptly disqualified.
Brown was caught doing a hand gesture before he crossed the finish line. Any kind of gestures or celebrations prior to the finish line are outlawed. Mallard Creek was stripped of the win and dropped to second overall in the meet.
quote:
"Officials at the event said Mallard Creek had received a warning after Brown flexed toward photographers after winning the 300m hurdles earlier in the day. Brown's hand gesture was the team's second violation and resulted in the disqualification, costing the team what would have been their third straight track title."

FBI- requires a minimum of 3 people being shot at the same location and in a single even, most other organizations require a minimum of 4
AP- doesn't like the term mass shooting, advises against using the term. Instead AP reports should state the exact number of people shot.
