If we win a title, it will be worth it. If we don’t during Kiffin’s tenure we will be hated forever (with the likes of ND, OSU, Texas, USC, etc.) with nothing to show for it.

LSU had so much good will for a few years between Football, Baseball, and WBB.

We are no doubt the villain now.

How to vote:
Please vote here by 8/30 : Official Pre-Season Vote The two polls will be posted on 8/31.

We encouraged folks to share their votes and reasoning, but this is not required. You will get attacked. Embrace it!

"Panel" v. "SECR Open"
The "Panel" is a group of 2-3 voters per team, and discusses and votes within a set of guidelines.

The "SECR Open" poll allows anyone to vote, and no votes are discarded.

We might have a few spots available for the official panel - please indicate your team and interest in this thread.

We aim to have 2-3 voters per team and request that you remain active for the entire season, even if your team is terrible (you know who you are).

What is a "Power Ranking"?

This question comes up every year. This is from Google, but please interpret how you see fit and vote accordingly.

Power rankings are periodic lists that rank sports teams or players from best to worst based on current form, strength, and recent performance rather than just official win-loss records

Standings: Purely mathematical. They rank teams strictly by wins, losses, and ties.

Power Rankings: Flexible and interpretive. A team with a worse record might rank higher than a first-place team if experts believe they are playing better at the moment.
