Mandeville or Madisonville then. Madisonville lower schools are very good and feed into Mandeville High.
Depending on where you have to commute to, you might quickly learn to hate Madisonville rush hour traffic if you have to deal with crossing the Hwy 22 draw bridge or the area around Hwy 1085 and 1077 (Goodbee exit)

John Kennedy lives in Madisonville when he's not in D.C., fwtw.

It was called River Forest Academy before they bought it thats all I was saying. I have never heard anyone talk bad about it.
I can confirm Kyle France is an epic douche.

Living on the North shore and claiming it's so great is like being the tallest midget. It's okay to dream a little bigger. I would check what other jobs are available out of state

Jokes on you I'm into that shite AND draw bridge closures!

I moved out of Covington a little over a year ago and briefly made some room, but they’re all full now. Leave them northshore baws alone up there.
Kenner should be nice

Jk- if you’re moving from BR give it about a year and you’ll be disgusted every time you go back to BR.
We feel that way every time we go and come back and we still live in BR.

Madisonville is extremely unsafe, my neighbor walks his dog without a leash!!
Sad state of affairs when you have to keep your dog locked up or on a leash but that's become common in the past 25 years.

The northshore should build more private school now, they’d make bank due to the influx.
That would make the public schools worse

This is similar to what you experience when you move out of the city of Memphis into Collierville/Germantown/Oakland suburbs.

Don't choose Madisonville. It is a crime-ridden cesspool of crackheads and degenerates who would murder their own grandmother for drugs. Honestly, you'd be better off staying in Baton Rouge than moving to Madisonville. Baton Rouge is much safer. Also, Madisonville just entered into an agreement with the government to store nuclear waste, and they will be building a data center and a hog fat rendering plant in the town, too.

I don't get the love for Madisonville here, unless you're in one of the nice houses in town. That, I get.
It's the same thing as Mandeville and Covington but with worse traffic (for most people, I would think) and fewer amenities.

People have been moving to the north shore away from NOLA / BR for the better part of sixty years. The goobers on here acting like it is still some hidden oasis crack me up.

The only part of my family that ever moved to Mandeville were the ones that went to the psychiatric hospital.
So I find it sort of humorous that it’s such a ‘place to be.’
It is … especially if you’re nuts.
