What’s wrong with Covington public schools? Elementary is bad? Other than maybe too many kids bc of too much building? That said, my son and daughter in law are looking into Kehoe for my grand. The northshore should build more private school now, they’d make bank due to the influx.

it's not

covington has significantly worse test scores and demographics. moving to the Northshore and sending your kids to chs is retarded

Drove by it the other day if it’s the spot I’m think right north of the light, gonna be a complete shite show once that’s done no thoughts of expanding infrastructure.

all those subdivisions between Hammond and Covington/Mandeville along 190 and 22 are shitshows. Traffic, drainage, water/sewer, etc

I’m happy for the demographics improvements but there is no fricking way I’d buy a house in any of those

When you’re used to BR traffic and someone from the NS talks about traffic, it’s hard not to laugh in their face.

Live in mandeville and everything else you need is not far away. You’ll have to drive to Covington for many things, but it’s a short drive

They all pretty much have one thing in common: DR Horton or DSLD. Several years ago somebody wanted to develop the old Bombing Range, but that hit a snag when they were required to make sure no unexploded ordnance was still on site. Ka-Boom!

The traffic on Collins Boulevard at certain times of the day rivals, or is worse, than any traffic in Baton Rouge.

What’s that mean? Is it not quality? The KF on southshore seems busy. There’s not a lot of private non-parochial over on northshore.

Gotta say I kinda saw this coming….

Ditto on paying particular attention to flood issues in the western side of the Parish, development over the past several decades have made areas flood from >1” per hour rainfall events (x multiple hours) that did not have flooding issues in the past.

Similar to those in 2016 in BR.

Old Covington or the hysterical district of Mandeville would be my first choice but my priorities and budget might be different than yours.

Need to know your house budget.

Mandeville for public schools, and some are better than others. So, name your price for house and will give more specific details on where to live.

Be careful. If you talk about the sheriff he might kick your arse.

Someone in my family moved to Madisonville at the beginning of the year and loves it. I’ve visited a few times and it’s a great spot for a family.

If you need the public schools, stay south of I-12.
