Florida Starting Defensive Lineman Suspended For Oklahoma Game

Florida will be without starting defensive tackle Jeramiah McCloud for Saturday's SEC matchup against Oklahoma.

The school announced Wednesday that McCloud has been suspended for conduct detrimental to the team.

"Jeramiah McCloud has been suspended for this week's game against Oklahoma for conduct detrimental to the team. His status with the program will be re-evaluated after this week's contest," Florida said in a statement.

The reason for McCloud's suspension has not been disclosed.

McCloud has recorded 22 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, half a sack, and three pass deflections this season.

His absence leaves Florida's defensive front shorthanded as the Gators prepare to face Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer and the Sooners on Saturday.
