On paper Auburn should beat Ole Miss at home by double digits. On paper they should be a 6 seed at worst in the NCAA Tourney. Their coach is a moron and unfortunately for him games aren’t played on paper.

the bats were also different through the decades
you have to take that into account

Very true. Players were swinging rocket launchers in the 80s and 90s.

The downvotes my first post is getting are something else I'm taking into account. I suspect some Texas and Tennessee posters have a hand in that. We're talking baseball here not football or basketball. Can't let the panties get in a wad when discussing America's Pastime. The National Game is different.

Yeah it's really hard to take a lot from that era just looking at pitching stats.

That same year, LSU had a team ERA of 2.40 and all three weekend starters had sub 3.00 ERAs.

Not coincidentally, UCLA won the 2013 CWS Final over MSU. That Bruins team had perfected the West Coast, move the runner over, small ball baseball of that time and were super sound defensively. Meanwhile, Hunter Renfroe and Wes Rea were barreling up fastballs that were caught before they reached the warning track at Charles Schwab.

Our mini me coach has said on the record that he caught the deepest pitching staff in college baseball history. Sure he's bias but he's seen lots of elite collegiate pitching staffs in his day.

Me personally, I'm going with 2013 Arkansas. They did benefit from the gay ball era of college baseball but a team ERA of 1.89 ?!!!? Sheeeittttt

Watched some Ole Miss basketball highlights today.

That team has just about quit. Back to the portal and drawing board this offseason.

What is south carolinas fans relationship with Tanner now?

Any Carolina fan you speak to will tell you that he's a generational baseball coach and a terrible AD. Did he hire Frank Martin ? Seems like he's still living off that miraculous Final 4 run from 8 or 9 years ago. That and Dawn Staley making them a premier women's Bball school.

:casty:
It’s sad to see what has become of South Carolina baseball. Founders Park is a special place and ~15 years ago they were far and away the premier program in all of college baseball. Watching Coastal and ECU pass them by has added a lot of salt to their numerous wounds as well I’d think.

. :wah:
Man this sucks.

In my opinion, Seaton and Peak were the best two Tackles available in the portal. Wish him a speedy recovery.

I like the look of that basketball scoreboard. Looks like there's 4 separate ones facing all directions. LSU has to put some $ into that roof next. Woof. Giving me Tad Smith Coliseum flashbacks.

I wish former Lady Vol Madison Shipman still covered softball for the SEC Network. That girl could get it. That's all I have to add.

This got me. I have a feeling I’ll be using this image again down the road.

Bobo's O gained 400+ yards and averaged 32 points per game last season. Not his fault the pash rush struggled to get home. Just sayin...
9-3 and missing out on the CFB Playoff with a shot at a 10th win in a bowl game would be an outstanding first season. I think that the USC QB wins the starting job and keeps it. Lisfranc injuries are no joke.

I prefer the new and improved banner pic. To each his own.

Look at the disappointment in Kewan and Trinidad’s eyes in this photo. You can tell they’re hurting inside.
