I always wonder about how an exchange student is supposed to get around if there's no public transportation and the host family isn't obliging. Our neighbors hosted a young couple from Russia about 30 years ago. The neighbors were older and never went anywhere so we ended up taking the couple out with us. Their favorite places we visited were the library and a game arcade.

I was at that Jethro Tull concert. Went to a few Mardi Gras balls there too. I always liked the carvings up near the ceiling that were names of artists, musicians, writers, etc. Teenage me was amused by the name Balzac. :lol:

It's creepy as hell but it's not like he sexually assaulted the underwear.
My daughter works in the special effects industry and they have begun using AI as a tool in limited ways. I can see it as an enhancement and way to make the effects more quickly but not entirely able to replace real artists. That being said, there's a lot of CGI in films that goes completely unnoticed like reflections in glass, added cars in a parking lot or visuals on tv screens. Maybe AI can do some of that drudge work but it also requires a human to make sure it looks right.

You can do this yourself. I'm pretty solidly conservative and see mostly right-leaning posts on FB but I have liberal friends and look at some of their posts. I read Fox news and AP each day and sometimes even go to Reddit. :lol:
