Sounds like he just invited you over.
When they say "hotel takeover" does that mean all the hotel guests will be convention attendees and no innocent tourists will have to pluck their eyeballs out?
Thanks for posting it. I wanted to see what all the hyped-up outrage was about.

Looks like she might be attractive for 94 if it wasn't for all that makeup.

Now talk about how much more gas, groceries and electricity cost in Europe.
If you cut often enough the clippings are minimal. I mulch mine as I cut and blow the drive and sidewalk into the lawn.
Leaving it unsecured and unlabeled was the travesty. But I believe putting remains in paper bags is standard procedure.
What alarms me is that the police said they had pics of the guy in a bathroom stall. Wth? Seems a bit intrusive. Also, the guy in question was "smelling his hands." And that's not even the one they were looking for
Mcmansions with a huge two-story foyer. Fricking waste of space.

I'd rather watch all the dancing kittens that keep showing up in my feed.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Got lunch from Popeyes. Had to go to two because the computers were down at the first one I stopped at.
That took entirely too long. There are times when maximum force is warranted.
My sister and I took turns staying with my mom in her home for 3 years. She had macular degeneration and mild dementia with Parkinson's symptoms. Lucky for us she was always a pleasant person to be around. I enjoyed spending time with her but at the time I really resented the lack of freedom and the hands-on nursing care. Kudos to all the nurses out there because I could not do that job full time. Mom was incontinent and it was a chore getting her to agree to being bathed. I would have rathered take care of the bills, yardwork etc and let my sister handle all the bathing but Mom said my sister was "too bossy."

Mom's been gone a year and a half now. My sister and I were both with her when she peacefully took her last breath. As much as I struggled with the caregiving, looking back I wouldn't change anything (except maybe get some counseling for myself.) Mom got to stay in her own home and we got to spend precious time with her.

My advice to anyone in similar circumstances would be don't be afraid to ask for help. If I didn't have my sister to help I'd have gone crazy. But friends can sit for an afternoon or make a meal. We had hospice towards the end and they were a godsend.

Years ago I read the book Horse Soldiers which I just learned was renamed 12 Strong. Sounds like I should check out the movie too.
My grandparents were happily married for 45 years before my grandmother died of cancer. Within 2 months he met a woman whose husband had died a few years earlier. They hit it off and were married 3 months later. Neither of them were looking for another relationship but they were ecstatically happy for the 12 years they had together. Who would want to deprive anyone of happiness like that?
About 2/3 of the world is somewhat lactose intolerant past infancy. That includes Asia and Africa. Northern Europeans were the first to develop the gene needed to digest cow's milk.

I never understood why this was such a big deal for people. Some people just don't want kids.. And that should be their right. And it isn't anyone else's business

If it's just a few people it's not an issue. But now we have a huge proportion of one generation that does not plan to create the next one. That makes for lots of problems.
