Yeah I did another round and made it to act 2 and it opens up more stuff to do like side bets. More to this game than I first thought. It's fun as hell.
I did try to jump in some multiplayer but kept getting server error. So hopefully that gets fixed.
Have you gone through Arcade? I haven't played all because there is a shite load but when you just go down the cards it's like a vehicle plus different tracks. You have to get bronze to open the next one. There is a few that say you have to advance the campaign but if you just scroll right all the way through you will see the ones open. And with the menu icons you can just jump to the race type.
So yeah you can't just pick your vehicle and track, but you just look at what the cards say. Like scroll to podracer and play the first card. Get bronze and it opens the next card for podracer.

I played two campaigns and got eliminated before finishing. So definitely not so easy at first. You can upgrade during the tour that go away, but after finishing you accumulate points and credits you can use to permanently upgrade your vehicle.
The biggest problem I think that is a legitimate criticism is no local multiplayer. I wasn't planning on using split screen, but could see that being a turn off for people wanting to play with their kids.
