If some booster pays 100 million for a top player who cares? It isn’t my money and it doesn’t prevent from going after more players

There’s no cap, but there’s also no infinite pile of money. It’s likely every program has X amount of dollars allocated to NIL/recruiting.

And that’s with half the commits as the #1 team Just a few days ago that SECr was laughing at LSU fans because we were ranked outside the top 10 in the portal. How very shortsighted of them, this was an obvious outcome

I would assume that lsu isn’t even halfway done with portal signings too.
My assumption would be to bring it up to temp without fear of overcooking it.

like my hybrid schedule where I’m 3 days WFH and 2 in the office. Best of both worlds.

I’ve worked remotely since 2011, with 1 year in office in 2016.

I would be okay with a hybrid schedule, but that does take away a key perk from remote working, which is the ability to live wherever you want.

Currently, I visit clients occasionally when I have projects going on, and we get together as a team quarterly. I enjoy that dynamic.

So "halfass catholic" = not a "practicing" catholic? Are they allowed into heaven.

If you go by the teachings of the church, no

Look, you’re clearly not Catholic and do not understand Catholicism and that’s okay.

If you are a devout Catholic, which the OP appears to be, you’re not going to be “okay” with skipping mass every other week. And that’s fine, it’s very likely that devout Catholics won’t have to make that “compromise” because it’s very likely that they’ll just marry another Catholic.
quote:

I know plenty of catholics who don't attend mass every week. Are you implying that they aren't catholic if they don't attend mass every week?

They are catholic if they’ve been baptized and confirmed in the faith, but they aren’t “practicing” Catholics if they’ve aren’t going to mass every week.

For $500-$600?

Could get one for $700-ish with free tailoring, at least that was the case a few years ago.

ETA; and it’s free life time tailoring, so you can bring it back as many times as needed
quote:

What does that even mean?

Part of being a Catholic is attending mass every week :dunno:
quote:

Well, I still don't see why they can't alternate. One week at his church and one week at hers. Seems like the most simple of compromises and if they can't even bend that much for each other I'm afraid this marriage is doomed.

Easy compromise if you want to be a halfass Catholic

If he was a halfass Catholic then this whole thread would be moot.

It’s important to me that my future kids attend Mass with their father, at least until they are of age and sound mind to make their own decisions. But I do wonder if seeing dad go to mass and take communion, while mom doesn’t, and vice versa at her church, would be good for their faith development.

Then I wouldn’t get too serious about this girl.
quote:

I guess you are right. I was just going off my anecdotal experience. My father converted to Catholicism and I married a catholic so it’s never been an issue with me personally.

It’s fine if one of the spouses is okay with swapping religions, or at least practicing the other religion, but if you’re trying to practice both at the same time there will be conflicts with teachings between religions.
quote:

I thought this was gonna be a Jew/christian or Muslim/jew type question but yea catholic/protestant should be no big deal.

Everyone saying it’s no big deal, would you just attend both services every week? If you have kids would they receive Catholic sacraments? How do you handle things like communion that occurs in other Christian churches at basically any given time when you can only receive communion after your sacrament in the Catholic Church? It’s not as cut and dry as you guys are acting.
We visited in 2017 and hung out mostly either in the north loop or Uptown near the lake. We did venture to the main downtown area and it was pretty gross and dingy around there.

North Loop and Uptown were very nice though.

How can he visit if he’s not officially in the portal?
Well today should be 48 hours post his request to enter, so either Washington has to grant his request or they are breaking NCAA rules regarding the portal. He could also just withdraw from school if he has to.
Nakos said on a podcast yesterday that he didn’t think the money was that far apart.

Scone said that Demond will visit LSU.
Some of you people aren’t cut out for this

have and if you think that’s an apples to apples comparison you sir are a moron

You stated it was the first time a coach left his team while his team was in the CFP, he’s actually the third coach to do it this season.

Match LSU’s offer

Nakos said this wasn’t really about money.

For the first time ever a coach left his team while currently in the cfp.

Have you heard of Tulane or James Madison?
