re: People who have been to or live in CA, why do you hate it? - Epic Cajun
Hawaiians love white tourists...they just don't like it when white people move to Hawaii to live there.
I have family who live there, I think they've been there about 5 years or so, and they haven't experienced the racism that I hear about. They've heard stories about it, but never ...

re: Updating LinkedIn Profile - Epic Cajun
The people who haven’t had success using LI, do you have a complete, polished profile? It doesn’t make sense why someone wouldn’t get some hits through the platform if they are using the tool correctly and have marketable skills.
I'd guess it depends on your field. In my field, it's...

re: There's no way we extend Mirotic, right? - Epic Cajun
No, the top players would go to the top teams. Those teams would create the spots. It would just be another form of free agency.
Even if they could get much more money from other teams? What he is suggesting is to get rid of Bird Rights and max contracts. The only "Bird Rights" tha...

re: Going from hourly to salary - Epic Cajun
I've never worked hourly, so I can't really tell you. Even when I got my first shitty job out of college I was on salary. I would think your hours worked are more closely watched if you're hourly, ie they are clock watching for you to clock in right at 8 or right out at 5....

re: Whats the best average dollar per sqft for a home? - Epic Cajun
I would never move to CA for that reason and liberal reasons
That area of California is fricking awesome. As others have said, the main determining factor is location. I spent $140/sq ft in Lafayette, but the homes I looked at in New Orleans before moving here were all $260+/sq ...
This has exactly zero effect on cost of living index, and if it did it would drive prices of everything down.
Is housing not included in the cost of living index? Huge portions of the city are basically uninhabitable, but homes still sell there and drive down the average price of ...

re: Hypothetical: you are offered 200k for a job...what is best city for family of 5? - Epic Cajun
You’re looking at data that is terribly skewed Please explain
New Orleans has a larger poor population than the cities that you are comparing it to. If you look at average home prices in New Orleans, you’d think that you could go out and buy an average home for 200k. No one t...
