I read that, too. My daughter has been a time or 2. She said when they were in Tulum, drugs were everywhere. They were in an Airbnb in a gated community, but said at the restaurants, they were offered drugs like it was a normal thing. I suggested she find someplace better to vacation.

We don’t need smart homes, smart cars, animated persona on fb, and AI. AI and these data centers are going to destroy us. If anyone is laughing now, are you not worried for your young children, grands, and future kids and grands? I am.

Exactly.
I’ve alot of folks talking about their gas bills. Apparently, New Orleans now has Delta Gas instead of Entergy. Delta is a PE firm and bills have sky rocketed. PE has no place in utilities. Who was it that said we would own nothing and like it? Won’t be long before basic necessities are unaffordable for many. These data centers that Landry is calling “tech centers” can’t be a positive. Things will go even higher for the consumer. Hopefully, Florida is smarter and says no.

Not a troll. It’s concerning. Maybe they won’t cause harm or increase in utilities and water, or harm our water or land. Or us. But we don’t know.

No, not a troll. And plenty feel this way. Why do you think folks are fighting against it? Hopefully, I’m wrong. If they do cause issues, it likely won’t be my generation suffering, but our kids and grandkids.

It was years ago. I forget the name of the tv show. It just seems we are being set up for a future that isn’t good. Hopefully, I’m wrong.
Leave the land alone. We don’t need data centers. So many going up. In 20 years there will be even more cancer, probably unaffordable utilities and lack of natural resources. It’s just plain evil to me.

How about human lives in 20. I can’t imagine there won’t be health repercussions. Not to mention what it will do with nature. I saw a show once where a town didn’t have drinking water bc of chemicals used and had to line up for a dole. This will be our future down the road.
We don’t need it. Nobody does.

20% tip is too much. How about the old lady who orders 2 meatballs at Olive Garden and then wants a refund on 1 because she can’t eat both? True story. And she got the refund.

I saw an article saying Gov. Landry will be in Shreveport area to discuss 3 centers being build in north Louisiana. Why are they ruining our state?
Thank you. My stupid Maytag literally sits on wash cycle for an hour or more. Not even a large load. And it’s not even one of the newer models.
