Well, the EBR school system has slowly devolved into nothing but a jobs 'program' for you know who !! Administration is 'top heavy' and becoming more-so with each passing school year. It's almost as if all the tax dollars are collected for admins/consultants/nebulous 'programs' etc. the EDUCATION of the actual STUDENTS seems to be nothing but an afterthought ! And you can thank the local NAACP + judge john parker for that !!

It passed in St. George precincts, which is all that should matter for creating a school district. EBR spread misinformation about taxes and MFP, as well as playing the race card, all over EBR and the rest of the state. They brought millions from outside the state to fund their campaign. That is why the amendment failed.

I foresee an indictment for public corruption in the next 10 years.

Just curious where do all of the kids that live in the apartment complexes and neighborhoods that are completely enveloped by St George but were carved out with a very precise scalpel go to school? Will they no longer be allowed to attend their neighborhood school?

You mean those areas that were against incorporation during the first petition drive? The areas that are still not incorporated into the city of Baton Rouge? The areas that “bravely stood up” against those mean St. George racists?

IIRC, residency issues eliminated a ton of rental properties from the petition area because people moved between signing and the approval of signatures.

Why give BR ammo to do the same thing twice since that was part of how they killed it the first time without a vote?

Don’t ever be fooled by LEAP scores. The State Department can cook those to make them look any way they want them to.

Lamont Cole Indicted WAFB

quote:

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - East Baton Rouge Parish School Superintendent Lamont Cole was indicted by a grand jury Wednesday on the eve of the school year starting, following summer break for East Baton Rouge students.

Cole is the latest official accused of corruption as Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill’s sweeping probe into Baton Rouge officials continues.

A grand jury formally charged Cole Wednesday with conspiracy to commit public bribery, money laundering, and malfeasance in office.

Cole’s indictment Wednesday stems from his time as an East Baton Rouge Metro Councilman, and not his actions while working at the East Baton Rouge Parish School System.

Keep looking and they can add more charges, I’m sure.
