re: EBR Residents- May 3 Please Go Vote (property tax on the ballot)
Posted by In The Know on 4/29/25 at 1:37 pm
Public schools here are nothing but huge jobs programs. It costs over 15k to educate one child in EBR, which is 3k more than it costs to send my kid to private high school. Why is that? Because the bloated EBR schools are admin-heavy and nothing will change until they tighten up. There are less students and schools in the district now which means is should be cheaper to fund the school system. But it isn’t.
I will never vote for more funding for schools until St George ISD is operating.

There’s an accident there every week. Looking forward to using that roundabout in 2034.

At least three of those six you just listed are washed. The PGA Tour has some great young talent that may not have the names (yet) but are better golfers. Phil? DJ? Keopka? Cmon man who gives a damn.

That thing will fall apart before a year is up. Once one thing breaks, it’ll start a chain reaction. POS.

Some observations from today:
- 3 points earned is huge. Blues had to win today because of what we have left (Liv, New, MU, NF). Maybe Liv will secure the EPL today and play scrubs against us? Wishful thinking I know.
- Sanchez was fantastic today. Credit where it is due because I’ve been trashing him all season.
- as good as we are in the midfield with Enzo and Caicedo (and they were very good today), Lavia strengthened it. He’s not an offensive player but our mids controlled things today and he was a big part.
- proud of Madueke who sometimes forces things and sometimes disappears. He actually played defense today and we need all 11 to play defense to beat anyone.
- good on Jackson for ending his drought. Really beautiful turn and shot. He played some good defense today as well.
-Palmer is not a factor at all. His form is poor right now and may be hitting a wall.
- Colwill and Chalobah were good today.
- Neto is so fast and dangerous. But he didn’t have any crosses today and therefore we had a poor attack.
- Cucurella was superb again. Where would we be without Marc?
No telling how we’ll end up but the guys are fighting. I hate our posture after taking a lead (possession, taking air out of the ball) because one brain fart can cause an equalizer (and almost did) and we are still limited offensively but we are still fighting for Champions League with a month to go. Let’s win Conference and have that as a fallback.

When I see that name I think of Curley’s haul of RB’s that year from all over the south- Jay from Waco, Artie Moore from Mississippi, Toomer from Georgia, Robert Davis from Alabama and Jermaine Sharp from Louisiana. Only Toomer ended up a regular starter.

Looks like an exit ramp to Dalrymple across the lake instead of the current exit that loops around. Not sure how this helps anything.

It’s not totally finished/open yet. Let them finish before you shite on it. I rode it today from Seigen and it was great. It’ll be really good when they open the right lane totally going to Acadian.

re: Rank 104.5 radio shows from best to worst.

Hunt is best and if you remove Ott and T-boob, those other shows would be great. Matt is so bad, unfunny, pompous, and very repetitive with tired schtick. As it stands, it’s Hunt first and the others are unlistenable because of Ott and T-boob. Matt makes my ears bleed.

I’m shocked the people of Jackson voted him out. Better late than never I guess. But his damage done will last a while.

DeChambeau is sponsored by freaking Reebok. Reebok is his clothes and shoe supplier. shite you get at Walmart. Who the hell would buy Reebok Crushers gear? Liv is a joke.

Why do people always believe the bullshite we hear each year about how deep and talented our pitching is? Every. Freaking. Year. This team won’t make it out of a regional.

re: Gov. Landry targets auto insurers over high premiums, calls for greater oversight
Posted by In The Know on 4/22/25 at 2:50 pm
wtf are you talking about? With that logic, auto insurers should be lining up to do business here if “auto insurers make the most money in “trial lawyer” states. Run along and let the adults talk, junior.
