I watched the pilot last week. I thought it was pretty solid. Didn't realize episode 2 dropped. Will watch in the next couple of days.
Since his star-making turn as Shane on The Walking Dead, I've been a fan of Jon Bernthal, too. ...

Many series start with a bang and are great for the first couple of seasons; they then fall off the map and never return to greatness. Billions and House of Cards come to mind.
But Breaking Bad? That was great TV from first episode to the very end....
