I don’t know how they can keep him on after seeing those text messages. I think he had the benefit of the doubt until those texts were released.

The contract he has probably requires his resignation in the event of criminal indictments for conspiracy, laundering, etc. He needs to go resign in person like a man. Not some statement to WBRZ with the header “from the desk of Lamont Cole”

I get a kick out of stupid and unsophisticated the schemes tend to be. These folks will take bribes and kickbacks and text about their plans then dump the proceeds into their checking account.

He had to. Showing up for that meeting, given the timing of all this, is his way of sending the message “I dindu nothin’. See y’all in court.”

Boilerplate and quick adjournment. Committee of the Whole meetings typically take one to two hours, especially on the first day of school. This one was finished in 40 minutes.

How can an elected school board permit him to continue in his job after being indicted by a grand jury?
