It’s called work for a reason. My expectations aren’t that high. I’m grateful to have a job and the ability to support myself.

Love mine. Moved to a new company with my career I've been in, but owner has me doing other things in the operations which has been great. Love coming to work each day.

I was a paralegal and I didn't like many of the attorneys I was assigned to, probably because y'all didn't like your jobs

Love it. Been doing it for 25yrs. Small 11 employee company and make good money. Work about 20hrs office and 20hrs on the road locally every week. Never have to work overtime. Get 7 weeks paid vacation a year. Wouldnt change a thing.

I sit at a computer at home in shorts and work from 6:00 am - 2:00 pm.

No, I've only ever had one job I liked and the scope of that business changed to where my duties changed and so my enjoyment phase only lasted 5 years.
I've been in my current job for 25 years and never liked it but love the people I work with so that makes it tolerable.

I knew I wasn’t gonna be good at it my second year of law school. I was sunk. Kept going but dropped out when I got a financial analyst job. 15 credits left.

Yes/no. I'm in logistics(family business), wasn't exactly the planned career choice but I don't mind it. It does get a bit monotonous at times and next month I'll have been doing this 20 years, which is wild considering I'm only 38.

I wouldn’t say I love my actual work, but I do enjoy being really good at it. That’s enough for me.
I feel like I could do most things for a living if I could become really good at it. The jobs that I’ve had that I didn’t feel like I was good at were miserable for me.

That’s where I was 26 years ago.
I’m assuming you’re around 40. If your job is tolerable and the money is good and will continue to be good, maybe just grind it out.
And if the money is good enough, put a lot away and retire early.

Depends on the day. I'm effectively in a position where I'm at the crossroads of logistics/finance/sales/tax law. I get to create business plans around new business opportunities based on movement of product and the associated taxes that go with it. The fun part is piecing it all together and proving it works. The not so fun part is all the corporate politics and red tape I have to cut through to actually get projects started. And relevant to the OP, corporate lawyers slow everything down, especially when working with companies that use both in house and external counsel.
