I am ok with it taking some time to build. I have confidence in Lane. I’m not ok with Baker getting out coached by Kentucky. He looked unprepared at times during the game. He needs to be better.

My father in law was drafted right out of high school and was in Vietnam at 18-19 years old. He left Vietnam as an E-5 sergeant at 19. He had a leadership position in his platoon. It’s amazing what young men are capable of if they are held accountable. Maybe not 100% of them, but you sure as hell can teach a majority of them to be responsible adults.

My 20 year old son is one of the hardest working and responsible people I know period. I think the problem is with your individual child. My older 2 kids also work hard and are responsible although maybe not as hard as their little brother. 2 things I observed being a former athlete. QBs are often cocky to the point of arrogance. It likely serves them well. The same applies for many baseball players. They are also cocky. It helps being confident because baseball has such low percentages of success. Put cocky guys together and they rub each other the wrong way, lol.

He most certainly can stay hurt. He’s proven at a young age to be hurt around 50% of the time. What indicates to you that he will stay healthy going forward?

Baker should not get out coached by Kentucky. He looked unprepared. Everything else you said I agree with.
