It's ok but I work from home on Mondays and Fridays and spend lots of time with my kids and have a fair amount of PTO each year. My youngest starts Middle School in a few weeks and oldest will be starting High School next Fall. I know they won't want to be around me very much more in the coming years so looking to make a company move in the next 1-2 years that comes with a significant pay raise. I'm happy enough where I work that it doesn't negatively affect my mental health and I get time off to spend doing the things I enjoy.

If I could change a few certain aspects of my job I would say it is a 'dream' job for me. It's more about certain management....mostly 1 person.

I love my job. I loved my job before this on as well. Retired military and now work for VBA helping veterans.

Retired now but worked for 46 years. Only time I liked my job was the final 7 years of my career.

I changed jobs at 46 a couple of years ago and I wish I'd done it sooner. I took about a 10% pay cut (not counting my bonus) for 80% less stress.

Nurse Anesthetist and I love my Job! I’ve been doing it for 26 years and I have roughly 10-12 years left before retirement.

I wake up every morning excited to Be an Insurance agent! Drink coffee, talk with my friends and customers, do some computer work!

I honestly liked every job I’ve ever had since I began working at 16 years old in 1973.
One job I had for 12 years I couldn’t wait to get to work. Had to make myself go home to rest so I could come back tomorrow and do it again.
I had another job after that that was totally unexpected and was really cool. Partly because I wasn’t in charge of the whole operation.
I’m retired now and I love that too.

It's definitely a love/hate relationship. As a crisis therapist and director of a 988 call center, I rarely get to see the people I help recover, so the burnout is real. But knowing you're there for someone on one of the worst days of their life makes it worth it.

the ability to telework would change how you look at your job, whatever it is. People don't realize how much the commute takes out of them until they don't have to do it anymore.

I’m OK with my job but I wouldn’t say I like it.
It has the benefit of being something I can do easily which pays decently but isn’t the most engaging thing.
I’ve got probably 8-10 more years left at it, though I could potentially get a different job with the same employer during that time.

I love what I do and the pay is more than fair for my skills.
However, the overall atmosphere and morale at the company as of late is not good.
That and they have changed the bonus structure 3 times in the last 4 years.
Regardless of their reasoning, its evident they did not like the company hitting its goals and having to pay out to us lowly salary folks at the bottom keeping the lights on.
Better believe C levels get theirs every year.

I retired from my state job at 55 because we kept getting more federal funding, and I got 3x more work, and they never hired more employees. They also would not let me apply for jobs I was training others for. F that. > took the pension.
Took a year off >
Entered the retiree state employee program with a different agency and work 25 hours a week. Love it. Less stress and hours. Money is good for 25 hours a week. I can come and go as I please and Work when I want. Happy!

Yeah it's rough. It's the only thing about my job that I dread. I spend 162 hours/year just going back and forth to work. I listen to audiobooks so I feel like I'm being somewhat productive. I also go to the gym at lunch so I'm not taking an hour and a half to do that when I get home or in the morning.
