I told my wife the same thing when I saw him skate, the personality of Chazz Michael Michaels with the looks of Jimmy MacElroy.. like he watched blades of glory and said I want to be both of them combined
We had them in Terrebonne Parish public schools in early 2000s. Chocolate of course was the best

Not like me at all... I would have chipped clear over the green
All Solid soundtracks, one of my favorite soundtracks to date the MVP NCAA 06 baseball game. I had it on constant rotation for LSUs Omaha run this year
re: Baton Rouge area Keynote Speaker

Dr. Karam at LSU. I don't know if he does a lot of keynote speaking, but he did speak at an event in BR I attended. He has fun LSU athlete stories and is great with personal branding
Konnor has not been clutch so far this season
They definitely would be singing OUs praises though

He's definitely hating, but seemingly was scored a little high, unless they missed the wobbles.

Why has the OT become the 2nd poli board?
Sadly because this board is getting older, as are the topics of interest. The days of threads about Landscape Architecture or Club Mid no longer fill up the OT. Tyga Woods Random Instagram locations are the last bastion of youth
re: How often do you look at mugshots and tax maps?
Posted by GeauxOn on 1/28/26 at 2:53 pm to weagle1999
I'll use tax maps somewhat frequently. Typically used for work related projects, but will also look at properties near family properties for ideas about purchasing and potential land swaps. I will say tax maps are great tools but I'm glad the general society are not aware of them or how to access.

Also, Saint-Malo region of France

I hate that you used blast from the past to describe these players..since I was attending LSU at the same time as these guys and Key and I are the exact same age
I wonder if Indiana kicker hitting the upright on prior XP played into them going for it. Either way it gave an awesome play/moment. Mendoza definitely isn't the most talented QB but he plays tough as nails
Definitely not the Tigers night tonight, that's okay, get the kinks out early in season.
My personal preference would be the semi finals being NYE/NYD and the national championship, the Friday before the first round of the playoffs for the NFL, creating a perfect football weekend. I hate the college championship being on a Monday, gives the delinquents a day to recover from their victory celebration
re: If we don’t get Will Wade
Posted by GeauxOn on 1/10/26 at 3:33 pm to Hiphopanonymous
I'm not the biggest basketball fan, but man the obsession some of y'all have with Wade is insane. Was he a good coach for LSU, yes, but he's not the only good coach out there.
Prior to season 49, my wife did a binge watch during her maternity leave of every season. I caught a few episodes here and there with her but the show definitely lost its luster around season 40. Too many idols/advantages and too many people trying to overplay the politics game. I wish they would do a season where they go back to the basic, no hidden immunities and they really have to fight for their food and shelters. Also it seems like every contestant now has a sob story. I thought for season 50 it would have been cool for the contestants to be made up of all 2nd place finishers
Also glad he brought back the long time caller at the 10:06 mark. Still quote that phrase regularly today with my friends

I guess Kast is supposed to be a play on podcast but the use of Krewe over Kast would have been a nice touch.
Also glad he brought this back, still funny how much he hates Saban for his dolphins stint

Religion stuff aside, this seems par for the course in this area of Dallas
re: 16 seed over a 1 seed or JMU over Oregon

That was also nearly 20 years ago, college football isn't the same anymore with the portal. Not saying there isnt a talent gap but it's not what it used to be. I mean Tulanes QB would be starter for a P4 school this year if it weren't for mormon code or conduct. As the poster mentioned above strange things can happen on a football field if the right team shows up.
The thing with Bama UGA and OSU, is that those are heavy football schools and don't have a lot of star power outside of football. UGA has some golfers, and OSU may have hockey. I mean look at national championships across all sports and it helps paint the picture a little better.
Other than chasing a bag, Dline is a little different than O line with dline getting frequent rotations throughout a game.
re: Texas Tech basketball rankings

I work with some Texas Tech alum and while they typically turn their attention to basketball this time of year, they are all focused on football.
re: Does the OT prefer Dallas or Houston?
Posted by GeauxOn on 12/5/25 at 11:24 am to HueyLongJr
I judge most cities on their food scenes, which in this case gives Houston the nod over Dallas

There are a few things mentioned that are nice like car play/Android Auto, rearview cameras.
One thing I never thought id want, but now will not purchase a vehicle without is the heated steering wheel. Also heated seats, not really for cold weather, but for long trips and my back starts getting a little tight, I'll throw the back heater on and get some quick relief.

Bad year to hire a coach, but really the most impactful thing that has kept him on was AD Rhoades stepping down. Had Rhoades remained, I think he would've been let go. Baylor wants to have an AD in place before making a football hire, they don't have the brand pedigree like LSU to start the search with an interim.
My favorite rumor about the whole ordeal, was that it was UT alum/attorneys that brought the accusations to light because they didn't like that Baylor was the new Big 12 powerhouse in Texas and was winning the recruiting battles.
re: Art Briles back in the NCAA after almost a decade
Posted by GeauxOn on 11/25/25 at 10:30 am to AllDayEveryDay
I don't know that he will ever make it back to D1 football due to his age, but would've have been interesting to see if a team ever would've taken the gamble if he was younger. Everything I heard during my time at Baylor and living in Waco from some connected people, Briles was really just a scapegoat for higher up officials.

I had all 4 of mine (impacted) out when I was 17. I don't remember what they gave me to knock me out, but I do remember that I actually woke up during the procedure and they just pumped a little more in. The nice part was that it was family friend and he didn't charge my parents (but I also vaguely remember he may have tried a new procedure or something and I was a guinea pig, or that could have just been the drugs messing with my memory).
They gave me about a weeks worth of pain pills for after, but I didn't use any, I just looked two or three advil every so often. Really depends on your pain tolerance.
Depends on what you do for a living on whether or not you should take the day. If you stare at a computer, you'll probably be okay.
Thing to know: you will get tired of mashed potatoes

I'm not a user so I can't speak to user experience. However, I work in the industry and went tour the Altria plant where they make On and got the chance to feel their new On+ punches. They are super soft and sealed from the inside the pouch, so no noticable seam. They are slow rolling the release in just a few cities, including Austin, as they ramp up production
