Got it. I guess the fees have escalated a bit since attending 14-18. At that time I had whatever the top tier of TOPS was, which I think was just full tuition plus like $750 per semester and that covered all my schooling cost outside of books. Books I didn't buy unless I needed the online code for quizzes/assignments.

Room and board I remember was more expensive on campus than off campus then. There was no requirement for freshman to live in dorms however so I chose off campus with friends.

Yeah I don't quite understand the hate, other than people just not liking Zendaya as an actress. It is a fair gripe but she's also never really the lead and her performance doesn't overly impact movies, at least the ones I've watched. As far as former Disney Child Stars go she seems pretty level headed, especially compared to her Disney counterpart Bella Thorne. Tom seems like he is just happy to be there.

AI would have to get to the point where the whole company is seamlessly integrated, which means every supplier and customer would also need to be seamlessly integrated, which in the world of national distribution is a tall task. In my opinion AI has a people problem. It can solve problems with defined parameters, but it would struggle to understand the individual motivations across departments and finding the correct balance. Add to that, there is the gray area or off the books parts of everyday business AI just wouldnt know what to do with because there is no previous learnings to give it an answer.

While I embrace using AI as a tool and know there are clearly great uses, especially in medical research. I do question what becomes of society if there is a large replacement of jobs. The general society needs the balance of work and life.

Yeah I don't know that the job market is bad per se, but the current hiring practices of corporations is not great, which I know from working with the talent team at current role. Takes them forever to push reqs through and even longer to make it to hiring managers. The AI tools also can be awfully implemented and HR ladies only screen those that pass AI. We tested our own position before and were rejected because the req asked for highest level of education which for me and counterparts is a masters degree..well AI rejected the application because the bachelors degree was missing since masters was selected and bachelors degrees was a requirement

Depends on the day. I'm effectively in a position where I'm at the crossroads of logistics/finance/sales/tax law. I get to create business plans around new business opportunities based on movement of product and the associated taxes that go with it. The fun part is piecing it all together and proving it works. The not so fun part is all the corporate politics and red tape I have to cut through to actually get projects started. And relevant to the OP, corporate lawyers slow everything down, especially when working with companies that use both in house and external counsel.

The Great Lakes, specifically Michigan and Huron in my experience. Seeing a body of water that size, in your mind you naturally think it's salt water but it's entirely freshwater.

Nanny state conspiracies aside. I've used Waymo twice in Austin for a short distance taxi, mostly to see how it worked. I'm quite positive there is a way to manually unlock the door from the inside, just not the outside. Seems there would be major liability risk with locking someone inside of car.
