correct, we could only sue if they left us out if we won the SEC CG....otherwise we have zero standing.

No one is getting slandered more than LSU and LK right now. It would be grand to see it all get shoved right back in their faces. This quickly turned personal because of who it involves.

What are they gonna say, any team playing tro players is excluded? So texas, ol miss and others are all left out? Or are they going to single out one school? Cause that sounds like a bad day in court to do that

While I understand the fear. It would be incredibly stupid of LSU to not have some idea how the CFP will act before playing the players. Since ADs are part of the committee, would that make the committee which selects which NCAA teams get in the tourney an associate of the NCAA in the eyes of the court?
People always say that the CFP is "independent" of the NCAA and that may be from a governing standpoint, but that doesn't mean a punishment from the CFP to force LSU's hand wouldn't be looked at as the same as what the SEC was trying to do.
Lastly, the temperature on a couple 22 year old players getting to play will be much cooler come November when the actual CFP polls start coming out. In the end, the CFP is about making money from advertising and to leave out the sport's biggest villain would be stupid on their part. They would be better served putting us as a lower seed and making us travel up north to play in the snow or something like that. TV ratings through the roof as the nation hate watches us.

I'm sure the SEC and all it's members would be ok with losing out on money from the CFP if they did blackball a team:

The College Football Playoff (CFP) has a contractual obligation through signed governance agreements and memorandums of understanding to automatically include specific conference champions in the playoff field. The SEC is one of those conferences. So if LSU wins the SEC championship game, they are the SEC Champion and are required to be invited.
And the SEC will be required to fight for that, or they will be allowing a precedent to be set by the CFP to ignore any conference champion for whatever reason they deem fit.

Thank you!!! They’re splitting hairs over a piece of paper… The only difference between Trinidad Chambliss and Daquan Wright is a contract. Which means very little in today’s college sports landscape. You lose all credibility when you allow kids to make millions all while allowing nothing binding them to that university. They’re able to transfer out as they please.

Exactly. LSU is doing this to themselves at this point. The advantage these players give is not worth all this. It makes no sense to keep doing it, but Lane is gonna Lane.

Obviously when it comes to lawyers, things aren't always logical, but I don't see how LSU can logically get in trouble for doing something a court order is mandating them to do.

I saw the interview they did with Dae'Quan as he walked out of the courthouse. He did say he wanted to play like every player wants to play but he admitted he had only been in a couple of practices and his comments seemed more hopeful than expectant in regards to playing this weekend.

Not that cut and dry since the “independent” committee is filled with people that are employed by universities that are part of the ncaa.

Thats the whole reason we are here. But the NCAA also ruled Trinidad Chambliss ineligible, and many others as well. And the TRO reversed it.
The court overrules the NCAA and the SEC. They can't enforce their rules in violation of a court order.
And the players can't be denied the ability to play...this is a civil rights case at its core.
If LSU goes 12 -1, wins the SEC, they are in the playoff. If they are kept out because of following the court order, the CFP Committee would be in violation of the court order.
The NCAA could end all of this by 4pm today. Just announce that all in the class of 2022 are eligible...Only these players, in order to get them under the 5/5 rule.
And the SEC would have to comply.
