This is checkmate. The committee can say frick off to whoever they want
Let’s just follow the court rulings and let the guys play, go 12-0 and dare the SEC to leave is out of the SECCG and dare the committee to leave us out of the playoffs.
The whole world will see what a farce they are

I'm not sure how we play these guys if the CFP won't allow us in the tourney if we do.
It's pretty clear, at this point. You get a judge to enjoin the CFP.

That’s why neither player will play this weekend
I can't see kiffin telling Wright that he would play and then pull the plug on him.

Don't they also have to have some sort of acclimation period?
7 days

They will be on the roster after the court ruling yesterday. I don’t see why the CFP would have an issue with that. I could see them taking some moral high ground against them playing

Wouldn’t that be some sort of penalty against the players?
I don’t think the NcAA runs the playoff. The ncaa doesn’t even recognize a national champion. It’s all outside entities

They can change their bylaws and say any team with players not approved by the NCAA or their Conferences are not eligible to be in the selection process and participate in the playoff. Its coming

The threat of it is.
If LSU were to back out of rostering them as a result, these kids may have a claim against the CFP.
If I was LSU, I'd make a formal request for clarification from both the SEC and the CFP committee asking them for guidance. Forcing them on record, after the TRO has been issued is important.

I haven’t heard from hanny in a while; what’s the best way to hear him on whatever platform he’s with these days?

Thank you. I had seen the concept mentioned, but never the term.

correct, they couldnt play anyways this weekend. there is a 7 day acclimation period.
I dont think any of these guys play until everything is really clear, period.

So I am assuming this means since Chambliss is not recognized as eligible to the NCAA that Ole Miss would get left out as well? don't see this happening. The ratings for LSU would be too good to leave them out. only scenario I see is like someone said, multiple 10-2 teams. I still think they put us in to drive viewership and keep the story going.

College Football Playoffs has nothing to do with the NCAA, it’s not a NCAA championship like other sports. So I guess it would have to be added to the lawsuit.
The CFP has established much more legal right, through multiple lawsuits, Florida State comes to mind, to enforce whatever rulings they declare legitimate than the SEC or NCAA.
Not sure you're winning that suit

Hannagriff has been scared to death on this subject for days.
He's not really someone to listen to rationally. This is a subject that is out of his wheelhouse. He would have folded a long time ago.

It is my understanding that neither would have played anyway.
Harris is still rehabbing his injured foot and has not practiced and Wright does not have the seven practice sessions/days with the team in order to be allowed to play. So, for week one it is a nonstarter.

Expect the players to file a lawsuit against the SEC and make more money than they would receive by playing football.
Ironically, the SEC would probably be ok with this.

We will sue and the kids will sue and win
It's a subjective ranking unless you're an auto bid team. Unless they're dumb enough to put them saying "LSU should be the last one in, but we're gonna vote someone else in" I think that would be a hard case to win

Thats exactly what I was predicting. The ace in the hole for the conferences is the CFP. They can change their bylaws and say any team with players not approved by the NCAA or their Conferences are not eligible to be in the selection process and participate in the playoff. Its coming
cool...im great with that...means no Trinidad and OM fans can go frick themselves again....because frick them, thats why

I think the College Football Playoff loves money and having LSU in it as the villain would set viewership records.
