Can't just cut checks anymore
Typical Rant. Something always has to be wrong and if nothing is, then something must be going wrong...
Good fan fic there.

Back to reality:
1. Florida fires Napier
2. Ole Miss drops an extension on Lane's desk to make him the highest paid coach in America and he leaves it on his desk unsigned.
3. LSU fires Kelly and targets Kiffin as the replacement
4. A couple weeks later, Kiffin's family visits Gainesville and Baton Rouge to check out schools and houses (Ole Miss still thinks Kiffin wants to stay)
5. Florida realizes Lane is leaning toward LSU and they about face and go get Sumrall (Ole Miss's first choice of replacement)
6. LSU hires Kiffin and rumors abound that almost the entire staff will be going with him, including Pete.
7. OM's AD, after waiting too long on Sumrall thinking that the coach, who told you with every nonverbal form of communication that he was leaving, was going to stay, panic hires Pete to try and retain as much of the season as he can before he gets fired for screwing this all up. (We all heard the rumors that Judge was going to be the interim if Kiffin left.)
8. Lane wants his offensive staff to go back and help finish the season, so they do and save Pete's arse against UGA.
9.OM still has the redass and after inviting the LSU coaches to come back and coach decides to scream about tampering, which will ultimately result in the offensive staff for LSU being pulled back and you can fend for yourself on the offense.

It's time you baby-back bitches stop whining about the coaches that wanted to move on for 2026 and enjoy the 2025 ride your on. It may last 6 more days or 18 more days, but either way, it will go hella fast and it might be the only one you get for another 50 years.

Miami is a bad match up for Ole Miss

Everyone thought that was the case with UGA as well.
I can guarantee that Ole Miss won't kick their offensive staff out of the playoffs when they are staring down the barrel at Miami's defense and Indiana/Oregon.

Don't care. I enjoyed watching the offense that our head coach and offensive staff put together look that damn good. :)

In all seriousness though, how the hell did Weis find Chambliss at Ferris St.? That kid looked awesome tonight. I knew he was good, but he went otherworldly in that second half.

It shows how important good QB play is.

Arch looked good against Michigan and Chambliss went godmode on UGA.
It depends on the year.

2020 - COVID and Stingley and Chase opted out of the season
2021 - Ed O had his mid-life crisis and RC turned the locker room against him, so it all went to hell quickly
2022 - Kelly is hired and misses on Freeman as DC and lands on Matt House (LSU wins the SEC West)
2023 - The offense was #1 in the country and the defense was almost dead last and historically bad
2024 - Defense better, but not great, Offense trying to replace 3 first rounders
2025 - Defense back to what LSU usually has and the offense is historically bad due to injuries and bad OL play

Kyle Williams was a poor hire. It's not shocking he had no momentum in recruiting, either.

He was a fill-in for us after Bo left late in the process. KW was always going to be a 1-year and done.
Marcus Freeman will be #1 or #2 on their list and they are the only school that could possibly pull him from ND.

I expect him to be in Baton Rouge tomorrow.

Players can't take visits until January 5th even though the portal opens on January 2nd, so I don't believe you.
How?

Any players on teams that make it to the title game get until January 24 to decide on transferring. Every other team will have finished their season before the portal window.

Maybe checking his market value?

He would probably start next year.
The V is undefeated, so unless he breaks up with his girlfriend, he's going to Texas Tech.

Losing to this Houston team is bottom of the barrel bad. LSU football brand is trash now.

Losing to a team that you were a 3-point underdog to isn't bottom of the barrel.

The KState game when Kirkland was the QB was the bottom of the barrel.

Woodland not starting?

Did Woodland start and get injured or did he not start?

LSU got a couple weeks more of practice. Hopefully we see some younger talent get extended playing time.
The fact he is this frugal with frivolous spending in his personal life makes me think he and Billy G. are going to hold the line when it comes to overspending for a player.
