Per Charlie Hanagriff. Said he sourced that from a high level admin at LSU.

That’s why neither player will play this weekend

Wouldn’t that be some sort of penalty against the players?

This is the ultimate trump card IMO. I'm not sure how we play these guys if the CFP won't allow us in the tourney if we do.

Don't they also have to have some sort of acclimation period?

If the Fed. case against LSU by the SEC gets tossed, or LSU wins, the NCAA is Screwed, and LSU would be able to sue for damages should the CFP leave them out.

LSU is following not just NCAA rules (5/5) but legal directives. If the CFP left them out, LSU makes more money than the NCAA for that season...

BTW...the CFP didn't give a crap when the average age of the Indiana team was 25 or so? I'm so sick of the double standard...

They’re court ordered to roster the players. Playing them could have penalties later with CFP, I don’t know enough.
I want to see them play, but if they don’t I won’t lose sleep, LSU football will continue on.

Has the NCAA deemed these players ineligible?

If LSU's on field performance is good enough to make the CFP the FORCE the CFP committee to keep them out.

It would be like all of these stupid vacated championships. We saw the games. We saw who won. Put the selective outrage on full display.

No. They're eligible through court injunction.

Can CFP deny us if we win the SEC CG?

That was really my concern all along. You're going to get treated unfairly. If there are several teams that are 10-2, we're going to be the ones left out.

I think so. Much like Chambliss. But the CFP isn’t tied to the NCAA.

From what I saw yesterday, Harris is nowhere close to being in game shape. Even rostered, I find it hard to believe he would see the field. Don't know whether Wright has practiced enough to play, but imagine he would have a small role this week if they let him. Prudent thing would be not to play either.

Expect the players to file a lawsuit against the SEC and make more money than they would receive by playing football.

Do we really want to go this route?

Or should we just not play a hurt and fat DL and TE2? We have a good roster that can make the CFP without these guys.
