I worked in an office for many years, had to “at least “ go business casual daily.

Now I work from home so my daily attire includes flip flops, T-Shirts, golf cap and gym shorts.

Wearing pajamas out in public is where I draw the line, but nothing wrong if a person wants to wear a t shirt to the grocery store.

I often go to kroger in Costa sandals and Costa glasses, with Aftco shorts and Aftco tee. I'm wearing $500+ while looking like a slob. And because you don't know, you don't know.

Why not just spend 1/3rd of that & look good instead? Size & fit are waaaaaay more important than brand & price tag

I've been watching some videos of years past. Dress was way more classy back then. Fedora hats, jacket and tie. I could do that again.

Our country has turned into slobs. Go into a store and it's t-shirts, pajama pants, and flip flops? Too many people have just given up.

This! Just go look at pictures on planes in the early days to today. Nothing but slobs.

Just watched "Young Washington"....hell he was chopping wood in a long sleeve button up white dress shirt.

While I don't wish for the long sleeves and tie while playing golf days to come back, I do wish the style would come back for work or dinner or travel. or basically anything out in public.

I've become a calorie, carb and protein counter. Modern smart watches and phones with health, exercise, water and food tracking technology, along with exercise monitoring have really opened my eyes to how really fricking unkind I was being to my body ingesting fast foods, saturated fats, sugary treats and high calorie beverages into my body. When I walk into Kroger or any store and see that 75% are technically obese I just want to tell everyone "it doesn't have to be this way".

RFK, Jr is on the right track but 'politics', right?

Because you are going out in public and have pride in your appearance?

again

this collared shirt rule is dumb because a fit person wearing a plain, fitted, uncollared shirt will look better than a fat person wearing an oversized polo from Sams

It started when men stopped wearing proper hats in public. Kennedy started the trend.

so wearing a good t-shirt makes me not care about my appearance?

.when Hollywood celebs wear a t-shirt that means they don't care?

so like someone else said. If I'm a guy that is fit, it means I care less about my appearance than a fat guy wearing a polo?

do you understand how fricking stupid you sound?

Are you wearing it with your church jeans?

When my husband is the best dressed guy in Home Depot because he's wearing a short sleeved shirt with buttons down the front.
It's not just the T-shirt wearing, it's the old, worn out and faded T-shirt wearing. Couple that with the front of the T-shirt having expanded to encompass a belly with the belt below the belly. Some of them don't even keep their pony tails neat.

Bro, the acceptance of a lowering of standards across the board in the name of being inclusive has been destroying the American culture for 50 years.

From the everyone gets a trophy mentality to DEI promotions over merit to how people dress themselves for job interviews or traveling through an airport.

It used to be, people got piercings and tattoos to be different and stand out. Now, if you dress and carry yourself with respect, have decent manners and know how to interact with humans, is all you need these days to stand out from the cattle.
