Median income is under 100k so most people don’t own stocks.
It’s baffling how dumb some of you are. Like copy and paste with no thought behind it
It's baffling seeing the levels of retardation people display when money is the subject.
-Over 50% of American adults own stock.
-Over 50% of American adults have 401ks investing in STOCK.
-If you still have a pension, you're paying into a general fund primarily invested into STOCKS to meet the payment obligations.
The notion that stocks are owned exclusively by monocle wearing elites is ridiculous & has been for ages.
You can argue that regular people don't own a high enough proportion of the TOTAL stock to be of significance, but you have to define the argument correctly instead of just saying "most people don't own stock" like a moron

I am sure some think I am wrong, but from an ultra- conservative viewpoint, why should I care?
Rights establish & define some level of agreed upon ways of going about things. No matter the source, there is a certain level of order required to avoid lawless chaos & have polite society as you know it. A certain level of agreement upon fundamental things.
Think about the words you just used to lay out your question. Now imagine if every single poster here had their own personal definition of each of those words, what concept they represented etc. Communication would be impossible.
What it comes down to is somebody at some point in time sacked up, drew a line in the sand, and decided to stand for something in particular. With enough time & common agreement it became a standard, a "right."

when the doctor only offers you pills for your symptoms instead of trying to find out what is actually wrong, it doesn’t get much dumber than that
I'm pretty skeptical, this sound more like a cartoonish villianization than a real doctor.
Not all doctors are bad & you can usually go to a different one. Or, you could assert yourself a bit & ask some questions instead of rolling over. If they still dismiss you, then by all means switch care, they are probably a shitty doctor.
My ortho doctor truly did suck. Would ask questions then cut me off mid-answer. Only pushed cortisone shots like you're saying. He ignored basically anything I expressed. But, it was pretty easy to switch & get better care

aren’t the doctors going through the same education system?
No, a lot of doctors are doctor's kids & grew up going to private schools & top colleges. Remember, the US does have the best colleges in the world. Our problem isn't with the top performers.
Our problem is the patients (that should've been held back in grade school) trying to apply said doctor's advice. You can only dumb it down so much
quote:
Yeah the healthcare system in this country is fricked because of illegal immigrants.
He's right. I work at a large health system & we have homeless dudes that will straight up come in for a free sandwich. It's what folks do when they're on welfare & can't afford primary care. And Illegals have one of the highest welfare rates.
EMTALA requires hospitals to accept patients regardless of ability to pay. Medicaid then covers the gap so the hospital doesn't go bankrupt treating these broke patients that they're legally required to treat. The government is also big enough to get away with lower reimbursement rates - that difference gets made up by billing private insurance at higher rates.
TLDR you, responsible citizen, get to pay for it

True, the Falcons have been to Super Bowl. They just can’t protect a 28-3 lead.
They should've given the 2016 staff one more year then cleaned House. Only way to exorcise the demons imo. Instead, they held on to half the staff & have sucked eggs for the last decade.
It's really, really hard to be a Falcons fan. It's hard to imagine being up 25 points in a superbowl ever again

The run & ball control in general have swung back into prominence lately for CFB offense. I said it during the season, but I feel like Grubb is perfect for offense 5 years ago...not so much today.
He either needs to adapt or figure out how to have success throwing it nonstop - Bama fans will have his seat crimson hot if not lol

Just cut the vine to the fence line. If it slumps into his yard, boohoo. It's legal & he already knows your feelings. He can get TF over it.
Salting/using chemicals can cross the line & start incurring liability. Salting itself is a felony in some areas, so please check your local laws first

I'd also ask you, are you loving God by encouraging people to sin & be apart from God??

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

How can you have an entire halftime show in Spanish. This is now the WFL. They don’t give a frick about their core fan base.
People in the 30s-50s would cast entire movies with English & foreign language actors, film side-by-side, and release 2 or more versions.
We have instant translation & LLM AI tech, but apparently have to watch a Spanish halftime show anyways. Forget political statements, it's just not passing the common sense test

Get off the horse dude you're not the only person on earth with diabetes.
For starters, is the coach doing this in a vacuum or is it just an article framing the coach, who may be perfectly justified in his decisions based on the player's medical history (which is private and wouldn't be disclosed in an article).
CGMs often come off from sweat, it's definitely coming off if someone hits you into next week. There's also the effects of the game itself - adrenaline is going to be high (spiking your sugar) and also low (you're exerting yourself to a huge degree) and it's difficult to keep track unless you have your CGM.
I'm a type 1 former cardio athlete & I pretty much cut out anything over 90-120 minutes due to the difficulties fueling. I'm sure the BYU medical staff does a better job of that, but there is probably a lot going on that we're not going to hear in an article
UF is starting to put it together & really dismantle people now. It's tough to keep up with their size & physicality. TBH I hate that we're next on the schedule
