I don’t claim to speak for God.
I don’t pretend to be able to explain those instances.
You might also ask why God doesn’t stop the drunk or reckless driver.
My Faith is in many things that are hard understand. God could have save his only Son but did not. That same Son rose from the dead. Prove those things to the skeptics.
Part of Faith is acceptance of what cannot be understood.
I would say that you the earthly conclusion to your question would likely end in nihilism, and I’d hate to try and square the corner that would come with abuses in that.
You seem to have a very Ancient Greek attitude towards deity, in the Judeo Christian traditions humans don’t exist for Gods amusements.

Seems like you don’t believe in a very edgy and sophomoric way. Congratulations, you have the perspective of a teenager.

The real way to fight this is for Americans pay cash as much as possible.

Why is supposed misogyny from trump news? I’ve been told by people who “know “ he was a misogynist and a predator for at least a decade.
It’s about time he got around to firing women, lest his misogynistic credentials be imperiled.

I bet china is betting on the perceived lack of resolve from Americans. They may not be wrong, we as a group unfortunately seem to have little tolerance for any kind of discomfort and as a result do nothing but prolong our discomfort.
I have a rip the band aid attitude, let be as intense as needed but over as quickly as possible and power through.

Not exactly true, the Anglican Faith predated Henry the VIII, Henry’s need for expediency elevated their standing. Both sides compromised themselves for convenience. A difference without much distinction I know. But my both my Father in Law and Brother in Law are episcopal priests, so I have heard the other side.
My experience with that religion is the tail very much wags the dog and they can (and will) talk themselves into anything.

I thought private clubs were allowed to discriminate.
Think of Carnival, Comus is a very discriminating organization so discriminating it decided to not parade in order to stay discriminating.

re: How does a totaled vehicle is determined?
Posted by Harvey Vortac on 3/26/26 at 3:33 pm to shoelessjoe
It’s been 25 years since I was an adjuster. But if I remember correctly the method an adjuster can “construct” a total loss by deducting salvage value from repair costs. This was encouraged to be done a lot of an insured was insistent about OEM verses LKQ, if the chosen shop was notoriously difficult to deal with (history of unreasonable supplements charging higher than established prevailing labor rates).
I’m glad I got out of that business, in the end I hated the company I worked for because they chiseled the insured, I hated the repair facilities because they (by and large not always) chiseled the companies, and finally I hated the insured because the had ignorant views regarding the value of their vehicle and could never understand why the insurance company would not include the non premium accounted for $12,000 after market stereo system when valuing their 1997 Altima.

re: Do you recycle aluminum cans or throw them away?
Posted by Harvey Vortac on 3/25/26 at 2:55 pm to JoeyP239
I have an old 55 gallon drum I keep in the basement, aluminum cans go there, when that fills up bring it to southern recycling in midcity. It’s convenient and I have keep the discarded cans. If it was inconvenient or I didn’t have space then I would not do it. I brought a load before Mardi Gras and walked out with 20 or so bucks.
re: Man that war was over quickly just like trump said!

This is so ridiculous… over quickly relative to what?
World War2
Vietnam
Korean
Desert Storm
The 6 days war
The 7 years war
Iraq 2
The Civil War
For crying out loud I swear some of you people would have surrendered to Britain if it meant not being inconvenienced.
We are around a month in. Maybe this will be a miscalculation, time will tell, but not less than 30 days into the engagement.

It’s not convenient yet. See Ceasar Chavez. They try and wait until it is advantageous to use. A truly free press without agenda would be a buttress against this. But people are more interested in “winning” and perceived “progress” than being principled.

I will agree that with the little info I have the sentence for the killing is light.
However, the headline states what the Texas man could face.
This is trolling for knee jerk reactions.
