Every day that goes by I feel like I would have fit in better in the 1940s and 1950s. That time period feels more natural to me.

I have said before on this board that a grown man should wear a collared shirt and long pants in public and got downvoted. This place is as trashy as anywhere else.

These idiots should not be allowed to make threads, Mr. Rockford.

The irony of watching broke folks dress up to go out in public to hide it, is quite the small town joy

Also the amount of people who when actually wearing a collar shirt, don’t even tuck it in anymore.

Never visit an airport, slippers, crocks, and pajamas.

Why do it, I am an old collared worker that supports not tucking in and having to deal with the bloom effect.

I worked hard to reach a level of success in which I can wear T-shirts to work most days.

Our country has turned into slobs. Go into a store and it's t-shirts, pajama pants, and flip flops? Too many people have just given up.

There was never any reason for people to dress up to go to the store

I think the change started in the 80s with shows like Roseanne. It continued when Married with Children aired. Both normalized the trashier side of life, something you really did not see in television before then.

I had to go back to read the thread title. Reading the thread it seems I clicked on something with "soy boys club" in it.

Why TF do any of you care what other people wear in public to this degree. I don't particularly care much for people who dress trashy but I can look past that. Geeze, this is next level.
