Is this similar to “nice jeans”?

are you suggesting there are no such things as nice jeans and the only way to look nice is to where slacks?

let me guess....a real man doesnt wear shorts outside of the gym or swimming/beach either right?

well frick it, why are we wearing anything other than 3 piece suits and a top hat to go outside?

My favorite thing is having to stop at the store on the way home from the gym and going in with the tank or stringer I worked out in. Get all sorts of looks from the grotesquely out of shape crowd

You're obviously only middle class/prole so you think these are "gotcha" questions.
In a better age they would all be answered in the affirmative.

I tapped out of the crowds at grocery stores awhile back and went to curbside delivery, but today had to stop into a Kroger. Holy cow what a fat, waddling, t-shirt and Crocs hellscape. What happened?

What do you wear to the grocery store?

I was wearing a golf shirt, fitted slacks, and a pair of Italian wingtips for that visit yesterday.

You're not very original either

But the point remains, why not spend less and still look good? You realize comfortable =/= looking like a slob? And for $500 you can certainly get both

It is funny how times and things change. I remember my Dad saying that his Dad would wear a suit when he went to the Dr.

well when you are a fat frick like yourself, i guess you need to pretend so you feel better about yourself

I'm seriously wondering how fat some of these guys are if they have to wear collared shirts and long pants to feel like they look decent enough to go grocery shopping.

Actually and I see this mostly at walmart every month when I go pick up a prescription, but it irrationally bothers me when I see people wearing pajama pants. Its either 4:30PM and they are just getting out of bed or they actually made the decision to wear pajama pants for the day. They can't at least find a pair of blue jeans or some type of sports pants to wear? They don't have a tshirt without holes?

Since like age 5 bro. I never don't wear collared shirts and mostly golf shirts and shite

ETA: Sometimes I wear Brooks Brothers polos because that's just how it is

When I was in college I used to brag about how my clothes including but not limited to my sunglasses, wallet, belt, all of which were and are imported from Italy, and not even including my genuine bona fide Swiss Made timepiece costs more than a month's worth of people's paychecks

I have owned so many nice things in my lifetime that I feel berry blessed

Mind your business

I do not care what your dress code is at your country club or frat house

You’ve been here long enough to know about the “nice jeans” joke

Nah, I live in Louisiana, I absolutely wear khaki shorts, it’s too damn hot to be in long pants all the time. But, IMO athletic clothing is for the gym, running, playing a sport, etc…

I wear chino/khaki shorts and a polo most of the time I’m leaving my house. Unless I’m going to the gym, pool, dinner, or church (or some other formal event).

At minimum if you're conducting any business. I go in the bank and see middle aged guys in jorts. If I was a loan officer that would be a strike against them if they were asking for a loan. Lack of pride in your appearance carries over into other areas.
