For diabetics yes plenty of studies. Now show me the studies for non diabetics. I’ll wait

Edit: didn’t have to wait long. I was wrong.
My post is proof to not believe what a doctor tells you without doing your own research.
Especially with all the data out there that we have access to the same stuff the doctors do.

There are plenty of studies for non diabetics. All you have to do is Google. You don't have to wait for anyone.

Mandatory dosing of this if your BMI is over 30.

My BMI is 30.4. I'm nowhere near needing any type of drug to lose weight. I run a 10K in just over an hour at 45 years old.

The minute the masses figure out this will allow them to spend more EBT money at nail and hair salons they will demand Medicaid pay for it.

That's a weird assumption. I feel like most people can at least make ONE mile in ten minutes even if they don't regularly exercise.

Also, please show me where I did any bragging...

there is some evidence that it may decrease muscle mass. But haven't seen anything regarding bone mass

I have doubts even on the muscle mass point about the effect being from the drug itself. Even really overweight people will lose some muscle mass if they don't lift and get some protein while in a caloric deficit.

Yes, the drug itself does not make you lose lean body mass (which includes things like muscle and bone mass), the weight loss does.

Even if you lose weight "the right way" those same things will happen.

Which again, is why it is important to begin or maintain strength training within the weight loss phase.

Its even more important when you get 55+

Something like 40% of Americans are obese. I'd be willing to bet a majority of Americans can't run a single mile in under 10 minutes. You're greatly overestimating people's fitness because you yourself are fit. It's the same reason you think BMI is inaccurate.

Believe there is some data that might suggest a slight increase in UTIs but they also see that stuff with other things that cause weight loss so its less likely the drugs and more or a body response to losing large amounts of weight

There is definitely some gastro side effects from people that I know are on them.

But I think I could deal with gastro side effects better than my heart exploding.

I don’t see going above 2mg at the highest based on how I’ve been doing on just 1mg. My only suggestion to any new users would be to make sure you stay hydrated and take plenty of fiber.

Insane. The OT is changing directions on these drugs? Not 6 months ago it was change your diet and get in the gym. Any support of these drugs resulted in a downvote avalanche. Now it seems there is growing support. Not sure I have seen the OT make a 180 before.
