Don't all good football programs pretty much recruit nationally? Don't act like Notre Dame is something special anymore. They aren't.

For the duration of the playoffs... I'd say the object is to win the damn game. You, apparently, think it's not to win the game, but rather to coach in such a manner than makes rebeloke happy. To each his own, I guess.
Now... if he starts wanting to be the head coach from the box starting next season... well, that's another discussion altogether.

Personally, I don't care if he watches and coaches from his car via telephone just so long as they win the dang game. Not really sure why you do.
