Look into transfer partners
You get A LOT more value for your points. Like 3x plus more
They are trickier to use, but im flying business class both ways to Greece next week for less than 150k points per person combined

All i can say is I would focus on transferable credit card points as opposed to explicit AA or Delta miles
You dont want to hit two SUBs with AA cards, get 175k+ points, only to have american no longer get access to JAL or etihad F. When you have all your points in only one currency, you are at risk of being severely impacted whenever they decide to devalue their points or nerf their program
Id focus on Citi cards (the strata family) and Bilt if you feel like those work for you
Id also make sure you really understand what the point/miles game is and what it isnt. Its not as easy as the influencers make it look. If you think you will be able to sit on a stash of points for 4 years and have your pick of business class seats when you finally get around to making your dream summer vacation to Italy for your entire family....id just make sure you go into it with realistic expectations

How the Brewers continue to be competitive is also pretty incredible

Also believe that if the Astros make the playoffs while losing today, they would be the first team in baseball history to make the postseason with a losing record in a full time regular season

Phillies play Tampa in about 30 min and make the postseason if they win or if Arizona loses
Dbacks play San Diego tonight and make the postseason if they win AND the Phillies lose
Astros play the As in about an hr and make the playoffs if they win or if Texas loses
Rangers play the Twins at essentially the same time and make the postseason if they win AND the Astros lose
Pretty crazy all these games come down to one day for two spots
