You absolutely must be able to remain emotionally detached from business decisions for any hope of longevity and productivity. IMHO Kirby’s broken this rule to perhaps his own detriment. What made Saban Saban was his strict adherence to excellence damn the cost or who got their feeling hurt. I can’t see him ever hiring his BFF, but I can certainly see him firing him if the product standard dipped one millimeter. People are their own worst enemy and Kirby is not exempt from that either.

Don't sweat it. Just consider the source. Their internet persona reveals their emotional maturity as clear as day every. single. time. Their shenanigans remind me of being back on the playground in 7th grade. Sad part is they are undoubtedly adults.

Pretty sure only one person has said that the entire season. Can't remember who it was, but maybe during the Bama game. Now everyone who is or ever has been critical of the coaching is hit with the accusation. Don't sweat it. Quite the quandary for those who worship at Kirby's feet. You hold him up as infallible, but he says he isn't. So is he right even when he's wrong, wrong even when he's right, both, or neither? Don't get angry. These are the positions you are obliged to defend when you chose blind allegiance to anything.
