Seems like she misquoted. Funny thing is the democrats have done to blacks what Woodson was saying to avoid.

That's the funniest part in all this. She's on THEIR side. Her argument is that because of some kind of systemic racism, these kids are too ignorant to realize that they're being conned by their failing school system. She was paraphrasing the Woodson quote that was used earlier in the meeting to make her point that once they've been "trained" for long enough, they don't even question it. And now she's going to lose her job because the morons on the Zoom call are proving her point, that they're too dumb to understand nuance. Oh well, go woke go broke I guess.
I read where he was receiving an MBE from the queen and yelled "frick the queen! I have a bomb!" It's got to be a terrible illness to live with, but that's some objectively funny shite

Which location? I would hate to end up there by accident, so I need to know where they're doing this

frick kids these days have their venmo qr code under their pillow.

I was running yesterday and some neighborhood kids were selling lemonade for a dollar. I just waved because I didn't have any cash to give them. On my next pass, they were announcing that they have Venmo! Take your little asses inside

My opinion is that if you have Tourette’s and are known to blurt out curse and offensive words, you should prolly stay home.

Apparently he was there to be honored for his film...about being accepted in public despite his tourette's diagnosis. I don't think they should have to lock themselves away so no one ever gets offended by tics that aren't directed at anyone. If you're not mature enough to handle bad words that are part of someone's medical issue, maybe you're the one who should stay home.

BAFTA Film Awards host Alan Cumming thanked the audience for their understanding on Sunday night after a number of outbursts from Tourette’s campaigner John Davidson during the show.

Davidson, who is the inspiration for BAFTA-nominated movie “I Swear,” was diagnosed with the syndrome at the age of 25. His symptoms, which first began when he was 12, include tics and uncontrollable outbursts, often involving cursing.

A number of outbursts could be heard throughout the BAFTA ceremony, including “shut the frick up” being shouted during an introductory speech from BAFTA chair Sara Putt and “frick you” when the directors of “Boong,” which won the BAFTA for best children’s and family film, accepted their award. During another outburst, the audience inside the BAFTAs heard Davidson shout the N-word when Michael B, Jordan and Delroy Lindo presented the award for best visual effects to “Avatar: Fire and Ash.”

It's windy as hell too. I can see the smoke from my house

Levy Rozman has a really good book for beginners called How To Win At Chess. If you like videos you can watch some Eric Rosen or chessbrah/Aman Hambleton. Alex Banzea does some good ones where he explains openings with "if they play this, then you play this" rather than burying you with theory.

I don't understand why you guys always throw in the "I voted for Trump X amount of times but" like it lends weight to your point.

It's thrown out because the true MAGA believers will label anyone who isn't 100% lockstep with Trump policy as a leftist, troll, etc. It doesn't change anything though, as you can see by the responses in this thread

quote:

You voted for him three times. Tariffs weren’t hidden. They weren’t subtle. They weren’t buried in policy white papers. They were a central plank of his economic message from 2016 forward. Trade wars, China, “they’re ripping us off,” all of it was front and center.

By the third vote, he was absolutely a known quantity. He had already imposed tariffs in his first term. The effects were debated publicly for years. But you're upset about tariffs now like you discovered something new?

Coincidentally, I voted for him 3 times () but I still reserve the right to call out policy I don't like. He was the best option based on my beliefs. People who think for themselves shouldn't have an issue calling out things that go against their beliefs instead of just changing when the wind blows.

To borrow a phrase from MAGA, "This is what you voted for." YOU are responsible for this.

This much is true. I still wouldn't change my vote. I do think his own voterbase will be disproportionately affected by his decisions here

Sounds like a Mamdani plan
"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?"

A whole bunch of middle America will feel the crunch from this. Some will have to shift their spending. Hell, some may even lose their small business if they can't keep up with the big dawgs who can absorb some of the hit. I'll be fine though, so I appreciate their sacrifice to own the libs

I love the lent loophole of just stuffing your gullet with endless fried fish as if that’s in gods wishes.

I’m not apart of this community so no judgment I just find it hilarious that people are supposed to be facing a penance and find a very easy modern way around it

We're technically not called to fast on Fridays, only abstain from meat. I do it anyway because I'm aware we'll be indulging in a fish dinner tonight. But a priest or anyone who's being honest about the purpose will tell you that going to be a glutton at a seafood buffet is kind of missing the point, even if you're abstaining from meat.

I keep my appearance and my fasting is not for praise from others, but for deeper focus on prayer during Lent.

no where did you explain how leving a 10% tariff on foreign countries equates to the US govt "taxing" "us" more.

Well it's pretty simple: that's not what a tariff is. Hope this helps!
The downvotes show that some goobers are still falling for the line "no trust me bro, the foreign countries pay tariffs TO US!"
My wife and I fast on Lenten Fridays to prepare for a fish plate from the church. Nothing hits better than that fried fish when your panza is growling!

Now that's was a good one
