re: For those who constantly bash the Zurich Classic
Posted by CPA Yung Boi on 6/11/26 at 3:25 pm to double d
The Zurich is going to be an interesting case study for the new tour. It’s no longer a not for profit and the executives directive is going to be get returns for SSG and other stake holders.
BUT the Zurich seems to be one of the Tour’s most successful events at a local level. Growing attendance, record breaking fundraising, etc.
One thing is for sure, the event can’t keep going on as it is. As successful as it is locally, it’s horrendous as a television property.

Look on the bright side, you’ll get to rebuild it to the exact specs you want in a year or two when it floods.

They obviously will appeal but I’d bet anything it’s not overturned. NCAA is a complete joke
You’re absolutely right that the ncaa is a joke, but it’s actually not their fault this time. They’ve been ABUNDANTLY clear you can’t do this and will lead to a lifetime ban. This is a total joke by a judge who has no interest in actually upholding good law. He should legit be removed from the bench and lose his right to practice law.

I’m very pro NIL and think the players should be compensated for being a part of a billion dollar industry
But this is absolutely embarrassing and the judge should be disbarred. Complete lack of legal basis because he’s a fan of a football team. Truly a disgrace.

But I can also recognize everything being expensive AF and more poor people makes me worse off.
Again, not that hard.

You were poor. There are still poor people.
You are conflating your being poor to today’s middle class, which is rapidly deteriorating and getting worse off. This is really not that hard.

Believe it or not, it’s easier to make an athletic high torque motion if you have the strength and flexibility to do so.
Most of the people I know that suck at golf and complain can’t rotate their pelvis 20 degrees. But they’ll buy every over priced training aid or shaft known to man instead of actually putting their body into a position to succeed.

These guys set up their clubs for soft flat setups that the TOUR goes back to week after week. And they use really spinny balls.
You don’t hit your driver over 300 and your 7 iron under 170 from a speed perspective unless you are altering the spin and launch conditions of the iron.
TOUR courses are driver, wedge to pins on 1% slopes, they don’t need distance setups with their irons. Ams are the exact opposite, which is why clubs like P790 are so popular. Launch high and long letting the bad player hit a club with more loft and offset creating more forgiveness.
