re: How do I politely tell my neighbor to stop cutting my grass?

I had the same problem with a neighbor about 10 years ago, but I was the one cutting the grass on their side of the property line.
When the lady said something to me about it, I knew it had to be hard for her to say something to me about it. I told her I thought I had been doing them a favor, and I’d stop.

Thanks for cutting Buddy. I like the grass a bit longer. If you can, please raise the deck a bit when you get to my part. Thanks again! Great job! Come get a beer!

Just say thanks for cutting that patch for me, it's thoughtful but you ate scalping my shite up

I have this 80-something-year-old guy next door who just likes to cut grass who does mine. He doesn't even ask. I love it. I haven't cut grass the five years I've lived here. The best part is, he's unfriendly as hell and doesn't talk, wave, or even acknowledge my presense. I'm going to be sad about this when I move later this summer.

He is politely telling you that he don’t want your weeds in his yard
...... maybe a joke but that’s why I cut a strip between my neighbors

Maybe your wife asked him to while ....

Write him a fake HOA letter on a fake letter head. Next time you see him : “did you get that dumb HOA letter?”!

I went through this recently. I hollered "hey Rob could you please stop mowing my grass? Your mower cuts like shite" and he replied "fick you loup, I haven't had the chance to sharpen the blades" we both laughed and went about our day because we are adults.

Some where, on some message board, there a thread titled, "How do I get my neighbor to do his share of cutting the grass between our houses?"

Ask to borrow his mower and raise the cutting height to what you prefer your lawn to be at.

You beat them to the punch. Cut it before they do.

Somewhat similar issue. There is a power pole on the property line between my house and the neighbors. He has never weedeated around his half of the power pole. Not once in over 15 years. It's not a big deal at all, takes less than two seconds for me to do it, but you'd think he'd do it at least one time.

Dog shite on their doorstep.

Send your wife over in a bikini and have her tell him to stop cutting your damn grass.

That’s the exact gif I was hoping I’d come across in this thread.

How do I politely let them know without being offensive or ruining a great friendship?
"Hey frickface stop cutting my grass" minus the frickface part. In the alternative, leave frickface and add a please. Both equal levels of politeness.

“Please do not cut my grass”
What is so hard about that, Soyboy?

Stop cutting your grass so high. Grass likes to be short.

Go over there with a lease agreement and offer to lease the strip of grass to him. Make him pay for the right to cut that strip of grass. He’ll get the message.
