the NCAA is the only thing stopping the Big 10 and SEC, and their FOX, ESPN media money from ruining college football

Pollard is one of the best, and longest tenured ADs in the country. He knows what college STUDENT athletics was meant to be. Money has absolutely destroyed the fabric of college athletics. Yes, it benefits LSU to a degree, but when players are chasing the bag every year, it sucks for the fans.

He ain't wrong. The SEC and B1G have never heard the phrase, "Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered".

Take the current 67 Big 4 conference teams and Notre Dame, and make a league. Your 3 OOC opponents are outside of the 64 teams, but no playing FCS or HBCUs. Have that same 12 team play off with first 2 rounds on home team's campus.

Guy is a moron. No one is dying to watch Iowa St. vs SMU pal. The only reason anyone would is hoping their team can make it to the playoff to play an SEC or Big 10 team. Take that away why would any one watch.

Iowa State shouldn't even be in a power conference, so perhaps they should just join G5
