The Oregon football program has reportedly filed a lawsuit against former defensive back Dakoda Fields after his offseason transfer to Oklahoma, alleging he failed to fully repay a negotiated NIL contract buyout tied to his departure from Eugene.

According to reports, Fields owed a remaining $10,000 balance after agreeing to a settlement tied to his NIL agreement with Oregon, making the case one of the more notable examples yet of schools attempting to enforce transfer-related NIL contract provisions in the evolving college football landscape.
