Via Christian Arnold of the New York Post, someone prank called Sanders on Friday, leading him to believe he was about to be drafted.

“Been waiting on you,” Shedeur says.

The caller eventually says that he’s going to “have to wait a little longer.”

Shedeur pulls the phone away and says, “What does that mean?”

He was stunned due in large part to his belief that no one had the number.

TERRYTOWN, La. (WVUE) - A 10-year-old boy attempting to cross a state highway with a group of other children Friday night (April 18) was struck and killed by a motorist, Louisiana State Police said.

The victim was identified as Kevin Madrid of Terrytown.

State Police said Madrid was with a group of unsupervised children attempting to cross Louisiana Hwy. 428 (Behrman Highway) near Nile Street around 8:30 p.m. Madrid was the only child who didn’t make it across, as he was struck by a 2012 BMW 750i that was traveling east on the highway.

“For reasons still under investigation, Madrid and the other children entered the eastbound lane of LA 428, in an area without a designated crosswalk, and crossed directly in front of the BMW’s path,” an LSP spokesman said in a statement. “As a result, Madrid was struck by the BMW, suffered severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he later died. No other children in the group were struck.”

Authorities said the driver of the BMW was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. The driver remained on scene, showed no signs of impairment, and voluntarily provided a breath sample “which showed a result under the legal limit,” the LSP said.

The fatal accident remains under investigation.

A man riding a bicycle on the Tammany Trace in Covington was shot on Tuesday morning after he got into an altercation with the driver of a vehicle, the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's office said.

The investigation is ongoing, authorities said, and details remain sparse.

The biker was riding on the Tammany Trace bike trail near the intersection of Third Street, when a man exited his vehicle, approached the biker and the two got into an altercation, the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office said in a press release Tuesday afternoon.

The driver pulled a gun on the biker and a shot was fired, authorities said. The biker was injured in his arm and was transported to a hospital.

"The incident is still under investigation, but it is not believed to be random," the press release said, encouraging people with any information about the incident to contact the Sheriff's Office.

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) - An Allen County High School teacher is facing charges after at least one student was allegedly shown nude photographs.

A Tuesday investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office revealed Kerston Raines, 25, of Franklin, and another teacher were exchanging nude photographs.

A student told authorities Raines showed them text messages containing the photos, according to an arrest citation obtained by WBKO.

After agreeing to speak with deputies at the sheriff’s office, Raines said the explicit photos had been sent between her and the male teacher. She added a student could have seen these photos on her laptop that is synced with her phone while at school.

But it was never her intention for students to see the pictures, Raines said.

She said her laptop often remains open in class, and students access her phone when selecting music in the classroom. Raines told authorities these are ways the students might have seen the images.

New charges are in.

Adrian Waughtal, 17, of Slidell—accused of driving the vehicle that struck and killed Candies—remains held without bond. He now faces charges of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, aggravated flight from an officer, and second-degree kidnapping.

Michael Emanuel Lanier, 17, also of Slidell, is being held on a $150,000 bond. He was charged earlier this week with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder. Investigators say he was seated in the rear of the vehicle with two female passengers at the time of the pursuit.

The third teen arrested, Mason Paul Eugene Fischer, 17, was initially charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder after detectives determined he played a significant role in the pursuit. Fischer, who was in the front passenger seat during the chase, was released on bond Wednesday but was later re-arrested after new warrants were issued for second-degree kidnapping.

One suspect remains held without bond in deadly St. Tammany pursuit.
According to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, detectives learned that once the pursuit began early Sunday morning, Waughtal and Fischer refused to allow the two female passengers to exit the vehicle, despite their repeated pleas to do so.

Fischer was located late Wednesday night at a residence in Slidell and rebooked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center.
