I doubt me telling my neighbor to stop mowing a small area of my yard would destroy our relationship

but I also don't want him to know just how much of an anal a-hole I am about some things

How big a strip are we talking about here? I'm just wondering how much different looking it would be (between the cut height you like and the one he apparently likes) if he stopped exactly at the property line versus how ever far he's going. If it's just a few feet, wouldn't y'all's different cut heights be similarly accentuated regardless of whether he veers over on your side or not?

You got to set the line. Cut yours right before he cuts his.

my neighbor did that to me once and cut my entire front yard and scoured a few spots, and also only cut the front which forced me to go out of my way to cut the back yard to match it, as well as edge

please don't do this

It's probably the neighbor's not-so-subtle message to Chef Curry that he doesn't think he's cutting his grass often enough.

Hey, thanks for cutting this. I owe you a beer. I'll mow your side next time I'm out.
One small request, can you bump up the deck height a notch or two, I like the grass slightly taller.

I’ll start by saying that my next door neighbors are great people and we hang out often. Whenever they cut before I do, they cut my side of the property in between our houses. I appreciate the gesture, but the problem is that they cut it too low and scalp the shite out of the grass. How do I politely let them know without being offensive or ruining a great friendship? Do they have a sprinkler system? Do you? If you don't, just casually mention that you are watering your lawn to see if it will help with weeds and are trying to leave it longer.

Put down some #4 rebar along the property line just under the height you want your grass to be

Imagine being mad about this

Plus it’s grass on the side of the house so no one even sees it
