Was robbed at gun point in an Arby's when I was around 11 years old. I guess I wasn't technically robbed, but I was closest to the door and the guy pointed the gun right at me when he walked in the door.
Was in the gulf when we got caught in a bad storm. We had to climb up on an unmanned rig. It was the middle of the night and while we were standing under this metal shed type structure when the rig next to us was struck by lightning and caught on fire. Was a scary 30 minutes or so.

Same exact thing as you, but he didn't fix a drink. Pepperonis pizza on Jefferson in 94. It was my first week on the job.
Been shot at during a fight in a McDonald's parking lot.
Had a guy hold a knife to my throat and another hold a gun to my buddy's head. My buddy wrestled the gun away and beat the shite out of the other dude. The guy with the knife let go of me to help his friend and we beat him pretty good. They jumped in a car and we chased them until the got to the hood and we turned around

I almost ran square into a 6ft long diamond back rattlesnake as I was walking on a nature trail. I almost didn't see him and he either didn't see me or didn't react if he did. We would have literally collided in a pace or so had I not seen him at the last second. As he slid past me with those big rattles at the end, I was safe at a certain point but I stood there literally to take in the moment. To this day, even though I know it happened just like that, it is almost of lore in my mind as it is so surreal, that brief moment it was occurring.

Almost got ran over today on the streets because I wasn't thinking about what I was doing and almost watched right into a speedy van that had no way of seeing me coming

I got off westbound I-10 at Vets earlier tonight and veered right towards that gas station. This black dude in all black clothes walked right across the road where I was turning to get on Vets. I didn't see him until it was too late to swerve, but he's damn lucky I cut the corner short. If not, he would've ended up under the truck

I've been in 4 armed robberies. Only two really scare me to this day.
1993: On my way to take a gal to see Free Willy at Siegen Theater.
This piece of shite here robbed me (he was only 12 years old). Obviously on his way to Angola. Surprised he made it to 33 before murdering someone.
Man arrested for BR murder
Then this in 2002. Working pizza at perkins and siegen. Laundromat next door. later at night I come back from a delivery and I hear a muffled scream from the Laundromat (door was open). I pop in and call for anyone in there(straight to the back is a half-door counter the Asian lady usually worked). I called again like Hello!! Anyone here? No answer. I figure it was just imagination and walk next door to the pizza store. Right behind me, A jackass comes bolting out of the Laundromat with big arse gun and runs right by me. I yelled in the pizza place to call 911 and went check on the lady. She was beat up and shaken but alive and well. I coulda gotten KILT easily in that narrow arse Laundromat just by going check on her with him in there.

on my way from birmingham to nola and had to pee. stop on the side of the road for some relieve when a minivan going the opposite direction hit the guardrail and headed straight for me. the van missed me by 20 feet and i pee'd all over myself.

We were using the bailer down hole to bail sand. Brought it up and out to empty it. Use 2 24"'s to unscrew the bottom. Unbeknownst to my WORM arse and to the operator, it had built pressure on the inside.(sand had covered the relief holes). Taking off the bottom, it blew off and a 24" hit me in the chin. 5 stitches.
The other time, I was standing on the tree about to stab the lubricator ( 24' of pipe) when the crane operator so the load go to zero. He yelled at me to jump and I did. The pipe hit directly where iI had been standing.
IT is safer than offshore.
