I ran the 2013 Boston marathon and was stopped about a half mile from the finish, so not to bad for me. My wife was sitting in the stands at the finish line and saw the whole thing. Once information came in on what was happening I was losing my shite. I knew she was there but didn't know how bad things where. She was also 3 months pregnant at the time so I had worse case scenario in my head. It was 2-3 hours until I was able to contact her. Longest few hours of my life.

Perps ran off in the woods. Cops didn't even chase them. We were alive though, all I cared about

When I was in 6th grade or so me and a friend were walking to the park to play basketball but had to wait on a train. An older guy pulled up next to us and asked if we wanted to hop in and catch a ride around the train. My buddy said sure but I adamantly refused. He could have been harmless but it creeps me out looking back

Yes. A crazy guy once held a .44 to my friends' head. I had a rifle in my hands, at the time. You'd think you would be nervous, but both my buddy and I were cool as cucumbers. He looked over at me and asked if my gun was loaded. I said, "yes" and touched the end of the barrel on the guy's forehead, while my buddy pulled his hat over his face, believing that I was going to waste the guy right there.
That barrel on his forehead made him rethink the situation and he took off like his arse was on fire and his head was catching.
Glad I didn't pull the trigger. Turns out the guy was having a still in Saigon episode.

When I was at LSU I was riding with friend running errands. We stopped on campus for something and I was in the passenger seat messing with the CD player. Some black guy jumped in the back seat and put his arm around my neck and a gun to my head and told me to give him all my money. After a few seconds he laughed....it was an former LSU defensive lineman and the gun was his finger. Everyone laughed and I changed my pants as soon as I could.
Late 90's....

I don't know how life-threatening it was, but went to close my driveway gate after some dumbass drove up my 500' drive at 4am Tuesday morning and the s.o.b. came back around ten minutes later on the street in his truck. Ye old .45 was cocked and locked, and I was just shutting the gate, wasn't expecting that level of stupidity or boldness, and def got a little twitchy on 'em. Just glad I'm not sitting in front of a Grand Jury tomorrow morning.

Everyday. I live on a blue marble floating around in space in a cold dark universe, protected only by a fragile, thin atmosphere. I am surrounded by death. There is war, hunger, disease, natural disasters, filth, poverty, torture, and crime everywhere. As a Christian, I will be put in hell and throw into the lake of fire if I fall out of the grace of God. I remain sane by not thinking about it too much.

I had a .308 bullet wiz past me once. I'm not sure how close it passed but I heard it.
I had the crosshairs on a deer and the safety off when it happened. A guy down the pipeline was sticking his rifle out the stand and it went off horizontal. Scared the ever living shite out of me.

That's scary. When I was a kid I used to go shooting at cars that were in my grandpas junk yard (he owned a body shop) and I remember feeling the hum of a ricochet .22 passing by my left ear. I went and looked and it seemed like it bounced back at me off of a metal seatbelt buckle.
